You two break up [Shawn Mendes; PART 1]

One and a half years you've been in a relationship with Shawn. Things have been great between you two and you couldn't be any more grateful to have him in your life. 

You were in the couch watching your favourite show when Shawn comes in with a worried look in his face. Seeing this, you went up to him.

"Hey, babe. What's the matter?" You kissed his cheek and he cringed at bit. Okay, that was odd.

"Y/N, can we talk?" He says immediately with a plain tone. You gulped, this was gonna be something deep. 

"S-Shawn, what's going on..." You told him, your voice shaking a bit.

He sighed as you two took a seat. 

"Y/N, somehow I can't feel the sparks in our relationship anymore. It seems that I've lost them somewhere and can't find them. This isn't going to be easy but... I-I think we should go our separate ways and break up." He tells me all of it, with his voice becoming shaky towards the end. 

"B-But, I-I still love you, it hasn't gone down a bit. Please! Don't do this..." Your breathing started to become uneven as tears begin to fall out of your eyes. 

"Why? What did I ever do to hurt you?" 

"Nothing! Honestly, I just can't see us working out anymore. I really don't wanna do this but I have no choice." Shawn tells you as he hugs you for the last time. You bury your face in his chest as you pulled onto his shirt. More tears began to fall and your sobbing began to grow louder. 

After a bit, Shawn got all his stuff except for one picture, where you two were holding hands at the park on your one-year anniversary.

"Y/N, I know that we're not gonna be together anymore, but that doesn't mean I'll forget you completely. I'm still here if you ever need anything from me. Whether it be advice or comfort, just give me a call and I'll be here for you." He tells you as he begins to walk out the door, but you ran up and kissed him roughly one more time.

"Y/N, that's enough!" He pulls away and gets his stuff.

"Remember, I won't forget you." He says and leaves. 

You collapse on the floor, heartbroken that Shawn just broke up with you like that. You grabbed the picture that was left and a tear landed on it. 

You didn't know if he regrets doing this and was gonna come back to you.

Shawn's POV

"So, what happened?" I heard Lauren come out of a bush as I walked away from me and Y/N's house further and further. 

"We're over, we broke up and she's now in the house probably crying all of her heart out. Now, I can be with you." I replied, giving her a smirk. Lauren smiles and kisses me.

"I've been waiting for this to happen, for you and me to be together." I added, Lauren making the kiss deeper. 

"S-Shawn, I-love you." She says in-between kisses.

"I love you, too. You're mine, truly mine, and only mine." I responded, not letting go of the kiss.
