Shawn Mendes Imagines [COMPLETED]

Graduation

You sat on the stage to watch the seniors students' graduation ceremony taking place in the gym. You weren't a senior yet, still have one more year to go. But there is this one boy who is graduating that means a lot to your heart.

Shawn Mendes.

You two have spent most classes, lunchtimes and after school together. He was your best friend and you can't believe he's finally a graduate. You teared up a little about how you're not gonna spend time with him next year as he is off to somewhere wonderful. 

"Ladies and Gentlemen, please give a warm round of applause to our seniors!!" The principal announced and out they came. You applauded loudly and saw Shawn walk up onto the stage with the rest of the graduates. He sees you and smiles, you smile back.

The principal gave a chance for each of the graduates to speak on their behalf. You heard interesting stories about their lives and thought to yourself that you were gonna be doing this next year. 

"And lastly, our final senior to speak. Shawn Mendes." The principal says and motions him to go onto the podium.

"Hello to you all, I'm Shawn Mendes. I think you all probably know who I am already..." He begins and you admired him. 

"My high school life is probably one of the most unforgettable experiences I've ever been through. The tests, procrastination, friends that I've made. Everything. And now I can't believe I'm finally graduating. I don't know whether I should feel happy that I've made it this far or sad that I'll leave behind all those wonderful memories I've made for the past few years..." He says sweetly and teared up a little.

"...I-I've made a lot of friends since I first started here, you're all really cool people and I'll definitely never forget you guys. But there's one special student that really means a lot to me." He adds and you felt butterflies in your stomach. 

"Y/N Y/L/N. That name always makes my heart melt." Shawn speaks into the mic and motioned you to the side of the stage. You went over there and he turned to you as you listened to his speech. 

"Y/N, you were my best friend since I was a freshman at this school. You showed me around whenever I felt lost and stood up for me when I got into fights. I never was really confident around people on my first day, but now here I am talking about it in front of a crowd of over 200 people." He begins to become emotional and tear up. 

".Yy-you've always been there for me whenever I need you. We get into fights but our friendship never ended just because of that. I-I can't ever thank you enough for all that you've done for me throughout my high-school life." He was full on crying now. You were tearing up even more as well at his amazing speech.

"Y-Y/N, you really made my high school experience so memorable and there's something I really wanna ask you before I finish my speech." He says and motions you to walk to him. You did as he was told and he got out a bouquet of roses. 

"Y/N, will you be my girlfriend?" He asks sweetly while his lip quivered. The crowd cheered and you say yes. He pulls you in for a tight hug and you two share a passionate kiss. This was the perfect ending to his high school life. 

You were his best friend that always supported him through thick and thin, and now here you are as his girlfriend, standing in front of over 200 people who support you two. The feeling is just overwhelming.

"I love you, sweetheart. Thanks for always being here for me." He says and kisses your forehead.

"I love you too, babe." You reply and hug him once again. The crowd continued to cheer and soon after, you took your seats to enjoy the rest of the ceremony.
