Queen of my Heart

Shawn's POV
I stand here at an open tomb at the cemetery as I see Y/N's coffin being pulled in. My girlfriend of two and a half years has left me forever, but the pain doesn't wanna go away.

**FLASHBACK**

"Babe, I'm gonna go buy you some muffins for being such an awesome boyfriend!" Y/N says to me and I smile widely. I went up to her and hugged her tightly.

"You're the best, honey." I say and kissed her cheek. 

"Why don't you come with me? It's fun shopping for muffins when you're with me!" She says but I feel so lazy today.

"Sorry, babe. I'd really love to but I'm so sleepy! Just wake me up when you come home, okay?" I told her and he pouted a little.

"Pleeassee baby?" I told her and formed puppy eyes. She can't resist them so she gave in.

"I'll see you later, muffin man!" She says and kisses my cheek. I smile and saw her off. I then went to the room and took a nap.

--4 HOURS LATER--

I groggily woke up on the bed and checked the clock. It's already 9:45PM at night. Hmm, I wonder if Y/N forgot to wake me up. I know how much she loves as much as I do, so I bet she decided to let me sleep and just help myself when I wake up.

"Y/N? Babe?" I called out but there was no response. I began to panic, it's already dark outside and Y/N isn't back yet!

I reached out for my phone but no missed calls or texts from her. I panicked a little and rang her multiple times, but it goes to voicemail. 

Where the hell could she be!?

My phone buzzes and I hoped that it was her, but it was from Cameron instead.

Dude, come over to the park now! You've gotta see this and please don't break down.

What!? Break down?? What happened to my muffin girl!?

I grabbed my keys and drove off to the park. I saw an ambulance and two police cars there, as well as Cameron and Nash. I parked the car and went over to them, they were in tears.

"Guys! What happened and have you seen Y/N?" I asked quickly and a teary-eyed Nash points to the ground. I saw a small corpse on a stretcher wrapped completely in white sheets. No! This could not be Y/N! It just wasn't possible!

I slowly walked over to the stretcher but a paramedic stops me. 

"Sir, I need you to step back please." He says and I complied.

"C-Can I just see who's underneath?" I softly asked and he nodded. The sheets were removed slowly and I began to bawl as I saw that it was Y/N. Her face was covered with blood as well as her arms and I saw a huge blood stain on her chest. 

"How did this happen!?" I asked in pain.

"A witness told us there were two gunmen who threatened her to give them a large amount of cash but they weren't satisfied with what they were given and so they shot her twice." The police officer told me sympathetically. 

"Y/N!! IT'S SHAWN! I'M RIGHT HERE BABY!! I'M RIGHT HERE!" I screamed and went towards her body but paramedics, as well as Cam and Nash, pulled me back. I bawled loudly and broke down. Cam hugs me and cries as well.

"If I only came with her to get the muffins, I would've beat the guys up before they could even try to shoot me, BUT I DIDN'T!! WHAT KIND OF HORRIBLE BOYFRIEND AM I!?!?" I began to get angry at myself for not going with her, this was all my fault.

Another car pulls in and the stretcher was lifted, the sheets covering her body again.

"W-Where are you taking her?" I worriedly asked as a funeral director comes out of the car.

"We're gonna take the body for cleansing and put her in a coffin." She replies and helps put the corpse onto the hearse. I immediately ran towards it. I don't believe that this is all true! Y/N is not gone!!

Cam and Nash, as well as some police officers hold me back as I cried my eyes out and saw the hearse drive away with my Y/N.

"NO!! Y/N!! I'M RIGHT HERE!! DON'T LEAVE ME!!" I bawled as I saw the hearse drive away further and further. Nash and Cam pull me into a hug and more tears fell out of my eyes. My cheeks were now red and my eyes puffy. I couldn't stop them, my heart is now broken and empty. 

My Y/N is now gone, and it's all my fault.

**END OF FLASHBACK**

The coffin was placed on the lowering device and was opened quickly so we can say our last words. Her family went first, then it was my turn.

I walked over to it and saw her beautiful face, eyes closed and no sign of breathing. I teared up as I can't believe I'm saying goodbye to my girlfriend forever, and this is the last time I can physically see her and talk to her. 

"Baby...." I began and sniffled.

"I-I love you so much. These two and a half years spent with you have been the best out of my life and I'm glad that you're my girlfriend. I'll miss you so much and I promise we'll see each other again soon. But until that time comes you'll always be, the queen of my heart." I whisper and kissed her forehead.

After my turn was done, the lid was closed and the lock was disabled on the device. The coffin descends lower and lower onto the tomb. My tears began to fall and I sobbed as Y/N's mom came up and hugged me.

"Shawn, you're such a great boyfriend to her. I can't believe this is actually happening..." She says and hugs me. I nuzzle my face onto her shoulder and whisper.

"I know, I'm sorry Mrs Y/L/N it's all my fault." I whimpered and she shakes her head.

"Shawn, I'm not mad at you at all. You didn't know, even Y/N didn't know that that was gonna happen to her." She reassured and I gave back a small smile, but I continued to blame myself for this. 

The coffins is now at the bottom and I cried as Y/N's mom hugs me again.

Y/N, I love you and you'll always be the Queen of my Heart.
