**FLASHBACK**

Shawn's POV
There she is, Y/N Y/L/N. The girl who I would always ask her how her day was and the girl who I really love since the start of the semester. We're really close friends already but I really want her to know how much I love her. She's a girl who knows how to make my day better when I'm down, the girl who any guy would wanna have. 

We're in the middle of the end of school year dance, and I squint my eyes to spot her by herself, getting a drink from a table. My God, that dress looks so pretty on her. I began to feel a little tense as I hesitantly walked towards her. 

"H-Hey, Y/N..." I shyly said. She smiled widely that made my heart melt. 

"Shawn! It's so nice to see you here! You look gorgeous!" She complimented and hugged me. I blushed as I hug back.

"Thanks, Y/N. You look so beautiful too!" I reply and she smiled back.

A slow song then began to play as I looked at Y/N and offered my hand.

"Wanna dance?" I ask her and she holds my hand. I shivered a little at the touch and gulped nervously. Come on, Shawn! Don't screw this up!

We walked over to the dance floor and I placed my hands on her hips. She wraps hers around my neck and I look into her eyes with passion. I was internally jumping with joy. This was something I've really wanted to do with her since the very first school dance.

She rests her head on my shoulder as I gave her forehead a kiss. I was about to cry tears of joy as we both continued to slow dance.

After a few minutes, the song finished and she looks at me again. She smiled as she fixed my bowtie, it was a little crooked. 

I thanked her and motioned her to come to the corner, away from the rest of the crowd.

"Y/N...I have something to tell you." I nervously said as she looked a little more alert.

"Sure thing, Shawn! What is it?" She smiled. God, I just wanna kiss her already! But she'll think I'm creepy if I just randomly do that.                                   

"I..I really like you. M-More than just friends. Since day one when I first met you, I immediately fell in love. There's just something about you that makes my day better. And I would like my wish to come true tonight. So Y/N...." I tell her and held her hand.

"...will you be my girlfriend?" I ask and gave her puppy eyes that I know she can't resist. 

"Yes!" She says and hugs me tightly. I begin to cry tears of joy as I hug her back.

"Y/N, you do not wanna know how long I waited for this moment to happen...thank you! I love you s-so much!" I sniffle and cry into her shoulder. 

We pull away after a bit and leaned closer towards each other. Eventually, we kissed passionately. This was the moment my adrenaline rushed so fast. I didn't wanna pull away, but we did.

"So, baby. Wanna dance again?" I offer my hand and she accepted.

Today was the day that I was gonna introduce Shawn to my dad. We've been together since the day of graduation and now we were both on our last year of college/university. Yes, we've had fights and arguments, but each of them we got through. He has met the rest of the family, but my dad was overseas working so Shawn didn't have the opportunity to meet him.
