He finds out you can sing (Shawn Mendes)

You've been together with Shawn for a little over a year and a half now and you're starting to become inseparable. About 2 days ago, Shawn asked if you could sing him a song.

"Come on, babe? Pleeaaase?" He said, forming huge eyes that looked irresistibly cute. Shawn has sang to you many times, but never heard you sing at all.

"I don't sound as good as you, though. Now, come on Shawn you're gonna be late for soundcheck!" You told him and distracted the conversation by telling him to get ready to go to the studio. You knew Shawn sounded better than you and never can you reach his level.

He groaned as you took his hand to help him get up and you two drove off to the studio. On the way, one of his songs started playing on the radio. You listened with a little bit of jealousy as he noticed your mood.

"What's the matter, love?" He asked as he placed a hand on your shoulder.

"You sound so beautiful when you sing and I'm just above average." You said back, a little bit harshly.

"Aw, I'm sure you sing as good as me. Just please, can I hear you sing?" He asked again.

"Maybe today, maybe tomorrow. You never know." You said back, winking. He groaned again as you continued the trip to the studio. It was almost Spring and the winter snow is almost completely melted.

When you arrived, all the other Magcon boys came and greeted you both. But there was not much time for chatting, Shawn had to sing immediately. You all went to a sound booth and you listened to Shawn's incredible voice. You frowned a little as you can never sound beautiful like him.

Shawn had been singing 5 different songs and you were already getting a little bored. You went out of the room and went to get a snack. But for some reason, you wanted to sing as well. After finishing your snack, you went to an empty sound room next to Shawn's and went through the song list. You've already heard the songs on the book many times, until you got to one on the last page. "Haru Yo Koi" was the title. And it apparently happens to come from a Japanese manga. You wanted to try out a new song, so you selected it and heard the preview. You seemed satisfied, so you learned the lyrics and practiced silently so nobody could hear the voice that you think is "average".

About 20 minutes later, you felt confident you can sing it without making a mistake. You set the music and went in the sound booth, not noticing that you left the room door open. You put on the headphones and the music began to play.

As the first few seconds of the song played, your confidence seems high and, because the mirror on the sound booth was a one-way mirror, you could see nobody but yourself, making your anxiousness go down. You chose this song as you wanted to sing something new and it matches the winter season outside, as well as you're relationship with Shawn. You immediately began to sing the first verse.

The music paused for a second as you smiled to yourself. This was going perfectly, you didn't make one mistake. The music resumed and you sang the last 3 parts beautifully.

You waited for the music to finish and you smiled at yourself, feeling proud. Suddenly, you heard clapping and cheering from outside. You opened the booth door to find all the Magcon boys cheering on you. Shawn came up and you hugged him.

"Babe, your voice is so beautiful. You sound like an angel. I can say it's definitely better than mine." He says and kisses your forehead. You blushed a little. You could hear coos from the other boys.

"You were watching me the whole time?" You asked them.

"Why not? You sound so angelic! You and Shawn should do a duet someday." Cameron chirped in.

"I'd like that." You said to Shawn as you kissed his nose. He smiled back and did the same to you.

"You're the best girlfriend ever." He says for everyone to hear.

"Aww..." You heard the other boys say together, making you blush.

"And you're the best boyfriend ever." You replied as you two share another kiss.
