You woke up still feeling sleepy as you cringed at what's going to happen to you today. You got good grades and an honour student, but there's this one guy in school that you try to avoid as much as you can.

Shawn Mendes.

He was known as the hottest guy in school, a chick-magnet. Along with his group of friends Cameron, Ian, Nash and Hayes. 

You two were best friends in primary and junior high school, but it all changed when Shawn became world-famous and made new friends who are famous as well. Girls dig him and his group, while you're just an average teenager who can't even put up enough money to pay for your rent in the flat that you're currently living in. 

Ever since he started to bully you, you arm has been full of cuts that you made with a sharp razor. You once told Shawn in junior high that you're very sensitive and somewhat suicidal, but he better have forgotten about it before he uses it against you.

You walked inside the school and a couple of your friends greet you. They don't know what's going on between you and Shawn, because you would always get beat up after school at the back, where no-one hardly ever passes. 

You had no classes with Shawn, except for last period. Where he and his group of friends sat opposite to where you were.

As the morning classes finished, it was time for lunch. Usually you would be inside with your group of friends, but you decided to eat outside because it was a nice day out there.

All of a sudden, you hear a voice from someone you never want to hear from.

"Well, well. If it isn't Y/N." Shawn says and laughs, along with his group of friends. 

"What do you want?" You ask, not making eye contact.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you, slut!" His anger increases and you turn your face towards him slowly.

"What's this?" He looks at your lunch and pours it over your head. Food spills all over you, and you were now a mess. You were thinking about fighting back, but you know that they were too strong for you. 

So you decide to go with the alternate and only option. You break down into tears, but the group just mocks you. 

You stood up and tried to get away from them, but Shawn yanks your arm and pulls you back.

"Where do you think you're going!?" His eyes were dark and you flinch. He pins you against the wall. There was no-one around to help you as everyone decided to eat in the cafeteria. 

"We're not done with you yet, bitch!" Shawn pushes you as his group walks away. You ended up being a mess. Food stains all over your shirt, tears spilled out of your eyes and more cuts on your arm that you're gonna make later.

You had the last class of the day, and you walked in looking a little better, but there goes Shawn and his friends approach you again.

"After school at the back, don't you forget. We'll find you..." He warns you as class started.

Once the bell rang, Shawn and his friends let the teacher and everyone else out, but blocked the door so you couldn't escape. 

"Nash, get her." Shawn demanded. Nash grabs you and throws you against the wall.

"Hey! Leave her alone!" Your brother Austin comes in the room and knocks him down. The rest of Shawn's friends scurry as Austin helps you up.

"No-one should beat my baby sister up." He says as he pulls you in for a hug.

Austin was your older brother, and you two were very close. He lives in a different city, but he decided to pick you up so you two could spend the rest of the afternoon together as he is in your city for a while.

Nevertheless, you wished he was here longer so he could beat Shawn and his friends up.
