Brandon POV
Callie had been really on edge since Jude found out we were still together. I tried to calm her, but telling her everything would be alright was helping. I was in a store yesterday and saw Callie's favorite cookies, so I picked some up to make her feel better. but I doubted it would help. Marianna came in the room as I was putting my books in my backpack before school.
Marianna- hey, I need to borrow your computer
Brandon- what for?
Marianna- mine's not working and I have to print out my essay for school
Brandon- yeah, okay
Marianna- what are these?
Brandon- what?
she held up the bag of cookies
Brandon- so
Marianna- Callie's favorite cookies
Brandon- are they?
Marianna- um.. yeah and you know that
Brandon- so what, I picked up cookies for her
Marianna- nothing it just dosen't seem like a brother/sister gesture, more like a boyfriend/girlfriend thing
Brandon- its a brother/sister thing
Marianna- oh yeah then how come you never got me cookies?
I took the bag from her and tossed a cookie to her
Brandon- there.. now were even
then I walked out of the room
Callie POV
I was doing homework in my room after school, Marianna walking and sat on her bed. she stared at me and said nothing.
Callie- what?
Marianna- I know
Callie- know what?
Marianna- about you and Brandon
Callie- I don't know what your talking about
Marianna- yes you do
Callie- just drop it okay
Marianna- just admit it your still together, you sneaking around like Romeo and Juliet
Callie- Marianna just stop
Marianna- fine you don't want to talk to me about it, maybe I'll go downstairs and talk to moms about it then
Callie- Marianna wait!
Marianna- I knew it you are still together
Callie- okay, yes.. but listen you can't tell anyone okay, promise you won't say anything
Marianna- I won't say anything, but you guys know you can't keep this up forever
Callie- I know
later that night after I was sure everyone was asleep, I crept out of bed and tiptoed across the hall to Brandon's room. I slipped inside gently closing the door behind me, he was fast asleep.
Callie- Brandon, Brandon wake up
Brandon- what, whats going on?
Callie- I need to talk to you
Brandon- about what?
Callie- Marianna knows
Brandon- what? she knows about us?
Callie- yeah, she just told me
Brandon- ah.. its my fault, shes saw me...
Callie- she said she wouldn't tell, I'm just freaked out that more people keep finding out
Brandon- I know, were gonna have to tell soon
Callie- thats what I'm afraid of
Brandon- come here
I slipped under the covers next to him, and cuddled up to him as he wrapped his arms around me gently stroking my head. we laid there for a long time in silence.
Callie- I have to get out of here
Brandon- its okay, everyones asleep
Callie- maybe just for a little while, but I have to get back to my bed before the sun even starts to come up
Brandon- okay
