Callie POV
I didn't say anything for a long time after he said that. Brandon was right I had been thinking the same thing, I had considered running.
Callie- Brandon we.. we can't
Brandon- what else can we do?
Callie- I don't know but.. the idea of running, we have a life here
Brandon- how could we ever be happy here is we knew Jude wasn't safe?
Callie- Brandon if we left, we could never come back here.. you would never see your family again
Brandon- I know.. I've already thought about that
Brandon POV
we were over at my moms house today, moms and my dad were in the kitchen with Callie and me. today was the day we would find out if Jude gets to stay with us or not. our lawyer said we didn't have to be in court today, he would call us with the verdict. we opted out of going to buy us some time in case the judges decision didn't go our way. I looked out the kitchen window and watched Jude playing in the yard with Marianna and Jesus, completely unaware of what might b happening.
Lena- you guys can't leave
Brandon- we also can't let Jude go back with Travis
Stef- running away will only make things worse
Callie- we know you guys are concerned but..
Mike- where are you planning on going?
Brandon- its better if you don't know
Stef- what about your own family.. Callie your eight months pregnant, whats gonna happen when you go into labor?
Lena- what if you guys get hurt or sick and you can't go to a doctor?
Brandon- we can..
Callie- Jude is practically our son, wouldn't you do anything to protect your kids.. if you knew this was the only way, wouldn't you do it?
Stef- what if we never see any of you again?
the phone rang, we all stopped. this was the call that would determine Jude's fate. I went to answer it, Brandon called Jude in from the yard. we all braced ourselves for the worst.
