Callie POV
Today was Saturday, we were leaving in a few minutes to go live with my dad. the whole house was out of sorts about the sudden departure. I was getting the last of my things together, everyone else was already downstairs waiting for him to come.
Brandon- you need help?
Callie- I got it
Brandon- arn't you taking this?
he held up my guitar
Brandon- its yours, besides it would just gather dust sitting in this house
I took the guitar from him
Callie- I'm gonna miss you
Brandon- its not like we'll never see each other again, no matter where you are I'll come see you
Callie- I'm looking forward to that
we heard the front door open downstairs and knew it was time to go
I headed downstairs with Brandon following me
Travis- ready to go
Callie- yep
we took the bags outside to load them in his car
Travis- I decided to move to an apartment nearby so you guys could stay in the same school
Jude- where is it
Travis- Its only a twenty minute drive from here
Lena- that's good, you can come back here to visit anytime
Travis- I'll wait in the car
everyone went around giving hugs, when Stef hugged me she whispered in my ear
Stef- if you ever feel unsafe living with him you come back here immediately okay
Callie- okay
me and Brandon hugged as well, holding on just a second longer than the other hugs. then we got in the car and headed to our new life.
the apartment was small but nice, it only had two bedrooms in it. one bathroom,and a small combined kitchen and living room area.
Jude- where do we sleep?
Travis- theres only two bedrooms, but I thought you could each have your own room and I would sleep on the pullout couch, until we get something bigger
Jude- I like it here
Jude went to his room to start unpacking, I hung back staring around the room
Travis- I know this will be an adjustment, but it will be good.. you'll see
Callie- good for who!
Travis- Callie please, give me a chance.. to make this work I need you on my side
Callie- fine, I admit you've changed.. but if you have taken us away from the only stable home we have ever been in and you mess this up.. there will be no more chances!
