Callie POV
Callie- is the baby okay?
Doctor- it's a healthy baby girl
I smiled, a girl. I would have been happy either way but all these months I had been secretly hoping for a girl. I only caught a glimpse of her before the nurses whisked her over to a nearby table to clean her up. Brandon leaned in and kissed my forehead.
Brandon- you did so good
the nurse brought the baby wrapped in a blanket over to me. I reached my arms out and the nurse placed her in my arms. Brandon leaned in closer to the bed.
Callie- she is perfect
Brandon- she's so beautiful, just like her mom
Callie- you want to hold her?
Brandon- yeah
I handed to baby to Brandon, you could tell by the way he took her he was little scared.
Brandon- she's so small
Brandon touched the baby's hand and she grabbed his finger.
Callie- we have to name her
Brandon- yeah, any ideas?
Callie- I want to name her Colleen
Brandon- Colleen.. after your mom?
I nodded
Brandon- I love it
the rest of the family came in briefly to see the baby. I was supposed to be resting right now but instead I was holding Colleen. Brandon ran home to get some things since I would be in the hospital for a day or two. I heard the door to my hospital room open, I looked up and saw Jude coming in.
Callie- hey
Jude- I know I'm supposed to leave you alone right now but..
Callie- no, no come here, come sit with me
Jude came over and crawled on the bed to sit next to me.
Callie- what did you need?
Jude- nothing I just.. I didn't get to really see the baby earlier
I smiled and held Colleen out towards him.
Callie- your gonna help me take care of her when we get home right, change diapers and..
Jude- no way!
Callie- oh come on
Jude- nope
Callie- well I am glad when we get to take Colleen home.. you'll be there with us
Jude- me too
