Chapter thirty two

Charles's pov

I looked at Jessica and she had a worried look on her face. I left the room and saw Joey walking towards the elevator.

"Hey Joey wait up" I said while trying to catch up to him

"What do you want" Joey said while turning around with an annoyed look on his face

"Where are you going ? and why do you look mad ?" I asked

"I'm leaving, and you're not wrong about me being mad" he said

"now go back with Jessica" he said turning back around and pressing the button for the elevator

"Joey wtf" I said grabbing his shoulder and turning him around

"What ? Jessica seems so happy with you. She doesn't even remember her own boyfriend. But she remembers you. Do you expect me to actually be happy after spending almost a week in the hospital worrying about her. And then just for her not to even remember me anymore ?! How would you feel if you were me right now ?" he said, water forming in his eyes.

"Joey, I know how you feel about this but you know the doctor said she could lose her memory. You have to let her recover. Give a few days, don't just leave her. She might get her memory back we never know." I said

"You're right but ugh how could she not remember me." He said putting his hands on top of his head

"Joey I think you need some fresh air, how about you go outside and take a rest. I think you've been in this hospital for too long" I said

"You're right Charles" he said

"Just come up when you're ready" I told him

"Okay thanks for understanding bro" he said

"No problem bro" I said

Joey when inside the elevator and pressed the bottom floor. I went back to the room and saw a doctor taking a blood test on Jessica.

Joey's pov

I got outside and saw a bench. I walked to the bench and took a deep breath I had so much going on in my head. The sun was rising so I decided to take a picture of the sunrise and captioned it "Jessica is awake." Don't get me wrong I'm really happy that Jessica is finally awake. But I just don't get how she doesn't remember me.

"We meet again Joey"

I turn around and see..
