Chapter 13 ~ Who is She ~

Weekend!

"Why can't I go with Megumicchi?" Kise sobbed.

"Quit clinging to my niece like a little child, will you?!" Noriko poked her shinai into his face threateningly.

Kise pouted. "I need to stay close to her! What if.."

"What if?!" Noriko glared.

"What if she gets into trouble along the way? I mean.. I.."

Noriko sighed. "Baka.. I know that you want to protect her. But, the place she's going to is safe. I know it.."

"But.." Kise pouted even more.

"Quit whining and get to work! Weren't you so excited last time?!"

"That's because Megumicchi was there with me!"

"Silence!"

Megumi stood nervously in front of the Momoi residence. She was wearing a pair of decent shorts with tights underneath covering her legs and a magenta hoodie. The hoodie she always wear when she's out alone in public. She pressed the doorbell and stood with her head down so that the hoodie covered her face.

The door sprang open and out came the pink haired beauty.

Momoi tackled Megumi into a girly hug before inviting her into the house. Megumi looked around the house and wondered where Momoi's parents were.

"Ano, Momoi-san.. Where are your parents?"

"Oh, they went for a weekend trip.." Momoi led the way to her room.

"Do they know that I was coming over?" Megumi pulled the hoodie off her head and stopped in her tracks.

"Yupp.."

"Eh?"

"Why do you ask?" Momoi gave her a puzzled look.

'Parents used to make sure their children stay away from me..'

But, instead.. Megumi answered, "Emm, it's nothing.."

Momoi asked no more and continued to walk upstairs. The coach asked them to work on a training regimen for the starters. The strategies Momoi came up with had to be synchronised with the training regimen so, that's where Megumi's part comes in.

They entered a room with pink walls. It looked like a normal girl's room. Megumi has never decorated her room before so, the room looked very pretty to her. She glanced over at Momoi and smiled. Momoi is a real girl, she thought. By real girl, Megumi means feminine.

"Okay~ shall we start?" Momoi clapped her hands together and pulled Megumi to sit next to her at on the floor. There was a small square table in the middle of the room where Momoi has already laid down her notes.

As they worked, Megumi was having opposite thoughts fighting each other in her head.

'Should I ask her about Aomine-kun? Or maybe, I shouldn't?'

Everytime she thought of that, she stopped writing. But, the moment Momoi looks up to ask her what's wrong, she quickly hide her question.

"Hmmm.." He sat on the floor with a bucket of water in front of him.

Kasamatsu who happens to be in charge of keeping an eye on him popped a vein and gave him a hard kick. Kise landed face first on the floor.

"Wah! That was so mean, Kasamatsu-senpai!" Kise pouted while rubbing the bump on his forehead.

"Quit slacking off then or I'll do more than just kick you around!" Kasamatsu snapped.
