Chapter 58 ~ Reunited at Last ~

There it is!

As the car further entered the magnificent city of Tokyo, the team's eyes widened in amazement. Excitement brimming in their colourful eyes as the feeling of determination brought them into an overwhelming ride. They're finally here!

The quarter finals!

From the front seat, Hokuto grinned at their high powered spirit. Nothing beats a youthful will to fight. She could just feel the team's aura blazing at that moment. She doesn't need to have a special ability like Megumi to actually feel that since it's pretty obvious to begin with.

"We're finally in Tokyo!" Kise cheered. Out of the ten players, he's the most excited. First reason would be that they're a big step closer to winning the Inter High. But, above that would be.. Being able to meet Megumi again.

"Didn't you live in Tokyo before, Ki-chan?" Momoi asked from the seat in front of him.

"Yeah, how come you're the most excited?" Aomine asked rather uninterested. Although, he already knew the answer to that.

"He probably can't wait to be all lovey-dovey with Mi-chin again~" Murasakibara intervened, making Aomine's unspoken thought go out there loud and clear. Well, his tone is as lazy as ever though.

Hokuto who heard that, popped a vein on her forehead. Another time when that overprotective instinct kicks in.

'Lovey-dovey?!'

Souma who sat beside her was too busy watching the videos of their mext opponent's matches to comment on her behaviour.

"We would like to spend some time with Mirai-san as well. So, do not keep her for yourself, Kise-kun.." Kuroko said monotonously, making even Akashi crack an amused smile.

"I couldn't agree more, Kuroko.. Don't you think so too, Midorima?" Akashi looked over to the greenette.

The carrot blushed for some reason and tried to cover it up by pushing his glasses up. That never works, dude! Quit being a tsundere and admit that you also miss having Megumi around!

"P-Please don't get me i-involve in this! And, Kise! Shut up!"

"But, I haven't said anything!" Kise pouted.

"Shut up!"

"How mean! Why is it always me?"

Ren and Hiro who sat at the back of the mini bus only looked at each other. They made a promise with them to help achieve each other's goals. But. It's still pretty awkward for them to just suddenly get into the talk with the miracles.

"What about you, Miura-kun and Aragaki-kun?"

"Eh?"

They both turned to Momoi who cheerfully asked them. The others also turned to the two, waiting for their response.

"A-About what?" Ren stuttered.

"About being in the quarter finals!" Kise supported Momoi's point of question.

"W-Well.."

"It's overwhelming," Hiro answered simply.

"Ah, y-yeah! Same here! It's nerve wrecking!" Ren agreed.

"Ah, that feeling when your heart wanna jump out of your mouth because you're too excited!" Kise added.

Ren's eyes widened. "Yeah, that's it! You feel that too?"

He stood up and pointed at Kise. Kise stood up from his seat too and gave Ren an excited nod.

Hiro's face remained neutral but, inside he was glad. They're slowly getting along.
