Kuroko ended up walking back to the Mirai residence together with Megumi and Kise. Due to embarrassment, neither Megumi nor Kise even bothered to ask Kuroko why he wanted to go to the Mirai residence in the first place. Kise still couldn't believe that he did not notice that Kuroko has been with them all along! Ever since Megumi waited for him in the locker room! He even saw them holding hands all this time.
Kise facepalmed internally at the situation.
Even though the phantom kept his neutral face on, he just knew that Kuroko would one day blurt out something regarding Megumi and himself.
"Kise-kun, Mirai-san.."
At the mention of their names, their hands brushed against each other making them flinch and jump away.
Megumi was already blushing. She couldn't even look at Kuroko in the face.
"We weren't holding hand!" Kise blurted out loud, only making Megumi's blush worse.
"Holding what?" Kuroko tilted his head to the side innocently.
Kise jawdropped. He internally punched himself in the guts. He totally forgot that Kuroko is actually the same level of innocence as Megumi!
"By the way, we're here.." Kuroko pointed to the side.
"Eh?"
The two looked up and saw that they were already at the residence front gate. They looked at each other then, around them. Yup, it was Megumi's house alright.
"K-Kuroko-kun is right. W-We're here.." Megumi struggled to act normal. Not that it fooled anyone with that blushing mess of hers.
"Ne, Kurokocchi," Kise gave Kuroko a questioning look. "Why do you want to come here actually?"
"Do I not have the rights to come here?"
"Ah, that's not what I meant!" Kise panicked, seeing Kuroko's serious face.
Kuroko returned to his stone face. "I forgot something during the training camp. I'm here to take it from my uncle.."
"Uncle?"
_______
Kise stayed outside of the inn together with Kuroko as Megumi went in to call his uncle. Kise glanced sceptically at Kuroko. He didn't mean to be rude or underestimating people but, he never imagined Kuroko to have a muscular, large man as a relative.
What he means is that, he couldn't imagine any of Noriko's challengers to be Kuroko's uncle. None of them looked like Kuroko and they definitely didn't share any personality traits. Well, that's just his thought though. This world is full of surprises anyway.
Especially, if it involves the Mirai family.
"Tetsuya~~" Kise's mouth gaped when he was someone practically flying (actually jumping in a very artistic and dramatic yet creepy kind of way) towards Kuroko with arms open wide to hug the boy.
Kuroko simply side stepped the guy, causing him to fall flat on his face on the ground.
"Hello, Uncle Kazuma.." Kuroko greeted.
"Eh? Uncle?" Kise had a big question mark appearing at the top of his head.
Megumi jogged out of the inn, before stopping right in front of Kise.
"T-There you are, Kazuma-san. K-Kuroko-kun came to pick up something.." Megumi explained, bowing as greeting.
"Ah, it must be the puppy patterned under-"
Kuroko jabbed his ribs with his finger, making him freeze as sudden pain coursed from his ribs.
"Please stay quiet, Uncle Kazuma. Where is it?" Kuroko asked seriously.
