Chapter 14 ~ Who is Haruhi ~

As soon as Megumi walked through the front door, she was tackled into a bear hug by a tall blonde boy.

"Megumicchi!" Kise pulled her close to his chest and rubbed his cheek againts the top of her head.

"Tadaima, Kise-kun.." Megumi said softly, her cheeks burning.

"Okairinasai! How was it, Micchan?" Minako greeted her, followed by Kasamatsu behind her.

"Satsuki-san is a nice person. So is Aomine-kun and his mother.." Megumi said, on her tippy toes to look over Kise's arm.

"Wahh~~ Micchan having new friends is the best moment ever!" Minako clapped her hands together. "Move over, Kise-kun! It's my turn to hug her!"

"Don't wanna!" Kise pouted jokingly making everyone laugh. Well, except Kasamatsu who popped a vein at Kise's childish behaviour.

"Get your hands off Megumi already!" Kasamatsu kicked Kise away from Megumi.

"Senpai!" Kise cried comically.

Megumi giggled at all this. Both Minako and Kasamatsu exchanged glances and smiled. Ever since Kise came to stay with them, Megumi has been smiling more often than before. They used to try and help her befriend others at school before but, no one ever wanted to be near her. Now, there she is..

Smiling and expanding her world.

The next week at school..

"Dai-chan! Where are you going?"

"Shut up, Satsuki! Stop sticking your face into people's business already," Aomine snapped. His face was flaring with anger.

"I'm just trying to help you.." Momoi held onto his arm, trying to pull him into the gym.

"Fuck off! Who the fuck do you think you are?!"

"I'm your friend! I'm worried about you.."

"Who told you to be worried about me?! I never wanted you to be anywhere near me!"

"Dai-chan.. I.."

"Shut up already, bitch!"

The commotion was heard by those in the gym. They all went out to see what it was all about. Recognising the voice, the 5 starters along with Megumi and Hokuto weaved their way through the crowd. The first thing they saw was a sobbing Momoi and an angry Aomine clenching his fists tightly.

"Leave me alone! Don't go anywhere near me.." Aomine said icily and turned to leave Momoi standing there, petrified.

Everyone was silent as Momoi cried by herself. She just watched as Aomine walked away to who knows where.

"Momoi-san.." Kuroko was the first to go over to her. He gently put a hand on her shoulder to calm her down.

"Tetsu-kun.." Momoi buried her face into his chest, crying her eyes out. Kuroko wrapped his arm around her shoulder as he patted her head with the other.

"Alright! Go back in and train, the rest of you!!" Souma hollered from behind the crowd. They all reluctantly went back in. But, the rainbow haired ones were still standing there with puzzled looks.

"We have some things to discuss, Souma-sensei.. I'll he taking them with me," Hokuto said.

Souma just sighed. "Sure.. But, they'll be having double training this weekend, you hear?"

"I don't think they mind about that at this moment.." Hokuto looked at the group.

Megumi was helping Kuroko calm Momoi down. Kise was faithfully beside her. Murasakibara and Midorima were silent because they had no idea what was going on. As for Akashi, he just stood calmly between the two.

Aomine looked up the sakura tree with his hands in his pocket. The petals fluttered down in a beautiful sprinkle of pink. He exhaled a long breath, just realising that he has been holding in his breath since he got there.

"I think you need to stop thinking about Haru-chan so much.."

"What?"

"You need to stop obssesing over her!"

"How can you say that when you don't know anything!"

"Dai-chan.. You need to move on already!"

"Shut up! You have no idea of what I feel about this.."

Aomine sighed at the thought. He had no idea how it started and he didn't realise that he was already throwing curses and swearing at her. The argument went on until his anger burst. He clenched his fists and punched the tree trunk with all the anger he had. He felt blood oozing from his knuckles but, he let it be. Letting the pain sip into himself.

"Damn it.."

The others were now in the locker room where they let Momoi sit on the bench to calm down. Megumi and Kuroko sat on either sides of her as the rest stood in front of them, waiting for her to calm down.

"Are you alright now, Momoi-san.." Kuroko rubbed circles on her back as her sobs subsided.

"A little bit.." Momoi wiped her tears with the back of her fingers.

"Here, Satsuki-san.. Use this," Megumi offered a handkerchief  which she accepted gratefully.

"Drink some water, Momoi.." Hokuto held out a bottle of water to the crying girl.

"Arigatou, sensei.."

"What happened back there, Momoicchi? I never saw you and Aominecchi fight like that before.." Kise asked hesitantly.

Momoi closed her eyes shut to stop the tears from coming out.

"I told him that it's about time for him to move on from Haruhi."

"Who's Haruhi?" Murasakibara asked, holding a packet of chips. He didn't want to eat it while someone was sad.

"She was Dai-chan's girlfriend.."
