Chapter 18 ~ Creature In The Dark ~

During the weekends, Kise didn't get any homework done yet. Especially, biology! The teacher was on holiday due to the labour of her first child so, guess who's the substitute?

Haruno Hokuto!

The demon sensei. Sure she can be nice and all but, not hand in your homework or sleep in her class then, boom! She's going to show you what terror looks like. You could practically see her horns sticking out of her forehead.

Kise sucked at biology. There was too many stuff to remember. How is he suppose to remember the structure of a rabbit's digestive system?! Don't even get him started on the cow. Why do they have to have 4 stomachs anyway?

"Haruno-sensei is going kill me.." Kise thought.

The lights went off.

'I'm doomed!' Kise panicked.

He sighed before getting up to try to make his way to the sliding doors. He made it and got out of his room. Turns out the whole area had a blackout. It was all pitch black and he could barely see a thing. The only thing that provided light was the full moon in the sky.

Then, he heard foot steps. Fast footsteps! It seemed like they were running. He turned and saw figures running towards him. He froze and tried to run away but, he was pushed onto the floor.

"Kise-kun!" It was Megumi's voice.

"Megumicchi?"

"Quit talking! It will find us," Noriko seemed to be shivering. Her voice was shaky.

"N-Noriko-san.. We all saw it, right?" Minako was somewhere to Kise's right.

"Shh!" Noriko seemed to be tense. They could feel it in the air. The air around them felt heavy and cold. There was an icy touch that they were not able to pin point.

"A-Ano, what's happening here?" Kise was more than just confused.

"We were watching a movie.." Megumi started but, she seemed to have difficulties in speaking. Kise adjusted his position so that he could get a better look at her face.

"Hey, is everything alright?" Kise asked. He has seen her cry and look sad before but, this was different from anything he has ever seen before. The fear in her eyes looked so deep that he could drown in them.

"It was horror movie. We were watching it when-"

"It appeared.." Minako finished Megumi's sentense.

It was hard to determine what expression Minako was wearing due to the darkness.

"Run!"

"What?" Kise was dumbfounded. He had no idea of what was going on.

"RUN OR YOU'LL DIE!"

The three females ran ahead, leaving Kise there on the floor.

Just then, a shadow loomed over him. He couldn't see for sure what the creature was but, he could make out the multiple arms and distorted head. Kise paled instantly as the shadow got closer at a surprising speed.

"Argghh!!"

"Kise-kun!"

"Leave him!" Noriko pulled Megumi by her arm when she turned towards Kise's scream. "There's nothing we could do.."

"But.."

"Micchan, let's go.."

"Kise-kun.."

Kise was running at full speed after witnessing the shadow. It was huge! He never saw anything like it before.
