Second Arc: Aomine's Past [Part 1].
Spring has always been the best time of the year.
That was what a little caramel haired girl always thought. Her sapphire eyes always glinted at the sight of life that the season brings.
"Daiki-kun, Satsuki-chan! Let's go already.." the tiny girl said, pulling both her best friends by the arm.
"Yay~ we're going to play at the fields again, right?" the little Momoi cheered.
"Y-You don't need to pull me, you know.." Aomine blushed slightly, looking away from the radiant girl in front of him.
Haruhi just laughed at that and continued to pull her friends along.
She was excited! The flowers, the trees and that single sakura tree in the middle. It was like a place where fairies would live.

"Please be careful, Daiki-kun.." Haruhi observed the boy worriedly from under the tree. Aomine got too excited about his new basketball that he accidentally sent it flying into the forest. Now, it got stuck up in a tree! They don't even know how it got up there.
"A-Almost there.." Aomine said to himself. He was holding onto a tree branch using one hand while he reached for the ball with the other. He heard a small snap and he let out a small yelp.
"Daiki-kun!" Haruhi already had tears in her eyes. She was worried and she knew there was no stopping him. But, she tried anyway. "Please come down from there, Daiki-kun. W-We can ask your dad to go get it later.."
"No!"
"Daiki-kun.."
Haruhi looked at the river flowing near the tree. It had a lot of big rock in it. She knew Aomine would be badly hurt if he falls from the tree.
"Go wait with Satsuki!" Aomine said, attemping to sound serious even when he was scared himself.
"No, I won't go until you come down from there!" Haruhi pouted, stomping her feet on the ground. Her eyes were watery. She blinked many times to hold in her tears.
"I can handle this. Don't worry.."
"I don't want to see Daiki-kun getting hurt.." Haruhi's voice cracked. Her tears gushed out, making Aomine freeze. He hates it when he makes her cry.
"O-Oi, Haruhi.." he turned to look at her but, his feet slipped from the tree branch he was stepping on. He tried to regain his fotting by grapping onto another branch. It shook sharply due to his sudden weight. The basketball flew into some bushes on the other side of the river.
"Daiki-kun.." Haruhi sniffled.
"I'm okay." Aomine was still holding onto the branch. He flinched when he heard an odd sound from the bushes.
He hesitantly looked in the direction. He listened carefully to identify the sound.
"Daiki-kun?"
"RUN!"
"Eh?"
Aomine jumped from the branch and landed in front of Haruhi. He took her hand in his, pulling her to run with him.
"Daiki-kun, what's wrong?"
Aomine didn't have to answer that because the buzzing sound getting closer to them answered it all.
"Don't look back! Just follow me.." Aomine said. He pulled her to run faster.
Soon, they saw the clearing with the sakura tree in the middle. They ran towards the clear river that circles and goes around the sakura tree.
