After another few days of hardcore practising, the team was finally ready to set off to the preliminaries that Firday. Their first match was on Saturday but, since they're from the province and it would take long hours to reach the city, they decided to go there a day early.
The team waited for the rented bus in front of their school gates. It was nice of the principal to sponsor their vehicle and their hotel fees. It was the first time their school have promising players after many years so, he was probably excited to see the results.
"Ne, Megumicchi.. Can I sit with you when we get on the bus?" Kise suddenly asked when they saw the bus at the end of the road, coming towards them.
"S-Sure," Megumi answered bashfully.
"Yeah!" Kise fist pumped in the air loudly, earning a punch in the head from Souma.
Well, their coach seems to have been very hyped for the match as well. He barely slept the night before.
"Shut it, Kise!"
"Wahh! Coach is angry!" Kise took Megumi's hand and pulled her into the bus as soon as the doors opened. Megumi was able to stop herself from stumbling just in time.
"These brats.." Souma gritted his teeth.
"Now, now~ don't be jealous just because your student has a girlfriend and you don't.." Hokuto pressed a can of coffee onto his cheek as they watched the other members of the team get on the bus. Souma let out a sigh and snatched the coffee from her.
"That idiot being so loud this early in the morning," Souma mumbled to himself.
"Man, you're so out of character when you're sleep deprived. Keep it cool, already," Hokuto commented. After the last student got on the bus, she bumped her fist on his arm before leaving him there.
Souma watched her get into the bus, her long pony tail waving with each step she took. Then, he looked at the can of coffee in his hands and instinctively blushed. That indirect kiss still makes him flustered.
'That idiot. How could she be cool about it?'

In the bus, Megumi sat next to Kise. Megumi sat near the window while Kise sat near the isle. In front of them were Murasakibara and Midorima. They haven't even gone out of their province area yet but, Midorima was already nagging about how messy Murasakibara was. I can't blame him since there were crusts everywhere. Hokuto who was sitting next to Momoi had to pull his sports bag away from him. Turns out, it was full of snacks.
"Baka! You could get a stomachache before the games!" Hokuto scolded. She had a tug of war with Murasakibara while Midorima continued to nag.
Meanwhile, Momoi saw Aomine's reflection in the window mirror. She looked a little closer and turned the colours left her face.
"Dai-chan!" She stood up and peered at Aomine over the seat in front of her.
"Shut up, Satsuki.." Aomine said calmly as he flipped the pages of his magazine.
"Don't read that here! Tetsu-kun will see-"
"See what?" Kuroko asked, turning his head towards Aomine.
Just in time before he saw the magazine, Momoi had slammed her bag on Aomine's magazine, also his face.
"Oi, what's your problem?!" Aomine snapped.
"Get that thing away!" Momoi retorted.
Kuroko was clueless of the situation. A small bark came from inside his bag. Similar blue eyes stared up at him with curiosity. The small husky barked at him, making Souma who sat next to Akashi look up from the data in his hand.
