A few days have already passed since that time where Minato explained everything to Kise. Although he received all those info in one gigantic slam to the face in one day, he seemed to be alright with everything. He even talks to Noriko and Hina as usual, as if he never heard a thing from Minato.

Even the other miracles were a bit confused by Kise's cheerfulness. They expected him to a slightly be angsty because Megumi isn't there to cheer for him during training or even during class. But, they're not complaining though. Seeing him in his normal self is better than that gloomy side of him that practically drags everyone else into crankiness.

The one thing that kept the team going at the moment was the fact that they won their second match in the Inter High. It was quite a tough match that day. Kise got punch in the face by Izumi after Kise tried to break the fight between Aomine and him. Then, due to the tension.. Kise and Aomine were kept out of the game until the match ended.

Thankfully, the others were able to prevail and won the match with a decent score gap.

Their next watch was going to be only a week away.

_______

Kise got ready for school as usual that day. He checked his phone as he walked to the dining room. He pushed the sliding doors open to see both Hina and Noriko already sitting at the table. He put on his usual bubbly smile.

"Good morning, Aunt Noriko and Grandmother Hina!" Kise flashed his teeth and gingerly stepped into tue dining room.

Noriko looked up from the newspapers she was reading and raised an eyebrow at him. Seeing his smile intact and unwavering, she decided to give him a grin as she answered.

"Ah, good morning.."

Hina took a sip of her tea before greeting him in return.

"Good morning, Kise-kun.."

Kise sat opposite from them. His back straight and chest open in the most proper sittinf way he could muster. It's quite similar to how Megumi always sit but, at least Megumi doesn't struggle in maintaining that sitting position like he is.

Let's be honest..

The silence between them was awkward~~

Neither Minako nor Kasamatsu were there that day. Which left Kise in this awkward situation with Noriko and Hina.

"Oi, idiot! Help me put rice in the bowls!" Minato.. Yeah, he's still there. He opened the sliding doors using his feet as he was carrying two trays full of at once. He's the one who has been doing all the cooking in the house since he got back while he makes Kise do all the cleaning so that Minako could take a break after helping them look after the house while everyone was away.

"Ah, hai!" Kise complied to his orders and started serving the rice into bowls for everyone.

He has surprisingly been very obedient towards Minato since he heard everything from him at the shrine.

It's the exact opposite of what the Mirai family expected of him. Externally, he's always cheerful, childish, whiny and goofy. But, they don't really know what he holds inside yet. It seems that even Kise could be mature when things get serious like that.

"Serve the rice properly!" Minato scolded, pointing a spatula at Kise. Kise took a glance at him and his eyes twitched at the sight. Minato.. Was wearing a pink apron with a white puppy badge sewn onto the left side of the chest area.

Kise had to hold his laugh because he might get beaten up after.

Minato glared at him, fiery fire ablazed behind him.
