23. The Nationals Team

A troupe couldn't believe what was happening. They were finally aloud to dance at Nationals and beat the Gemini team after loosing to them at Regionals, this was a second Chance and they couldn't mess up.

Michelle (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
I can't believe it! We won the Wildcard Competition and were finally able to go to Nationals! This just shows that we can do it, and Nationals is going to see what the next step can bring.

Sloane (Hiphop Dancer) POV -
The Wildcard team is all just having a dance in studio A right now. We told everyone else to join in as well, but I guess they're just letting us have this moment.

Amy (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
Knowing that we can go to Nationals, I'm going to put all of this Sloane, Latroy drama behind me. We have a pretty big competition coming up and I need to be ready for anything, at any time!

Alfie (Jazz Dancer) POV -
Well I didn't dance at the Wildcard Competition, but I still feel like I helped the team and I can't wait for Nationals!

Ella (Contemporary dancer) POV -
My first solo at the next step went brilliantly! I can't wait for what Nationals brings to the team.

Latroy (Hiphop Dancer) POV -
Knowing that A troupe is going to make Nationals is great. But my dad called, and he wants me back at the farm. And I just don't know what I'm going to do!

(Dancers From left to right)
(Ella, Alfie, Latroy Sloane, Michelle, Amy)

"Wow you guys they was amazing! Everyone give a round of applause for our Wildcard team!" Kate yelled to the studio, and began clapping her hands to praise them for what they had done. But it was time to start thinking about Nationals, and with the first letter from the board coincidentally arriving at that moment In time, they had to deal with the first obvious thing - The Nationals Team.

Kate (Studio Owner) POV -
Originally, I was going to pick 6 dancers from each time to make the 12 that would go to Nationals if we won at the Wildcard Competition but it just doesn't seem fair. So I'm going to talk to A troupe as a whole about what should happen.

"As some of you already Know. To compete at Nationals you have a troupe that is made up of 10 competing Dancers" Kate began to explain, "You are also permitted to have 2 alternates so all together you have to have a team of 12 and how we get their from 24 I don't know"  She said. Which was unusual as she was the owner of the studio.

"Well if you need a team. All you must do is just pick one. Michelle's team, or mine?" Emily stood up, looking for the first opportunity to get onto the Nationals team.  But then the rest of the other dancers didn't agree. "No, how is that far?"  Richelle spoke up. "We all came on A troupe together so half of us can't just be thrown away"  She said.

Richelle (Acro Dancer) POV -
I can think of another way of getting the Nationals team.

"I think we should have 6 garunteed spots on the team! " She said, looking around at A troupe to a video split of dancers who agreed and disagreed with her." Yeah, and who would those 6 spots go to?" Kate asked, She was taking an interest in the idea. "Isn't it obvious? The Wildcard team!"

Richelle (Acro Dancer) POV -
The Wildcard team is the reason we're going to dance at Nationals, Which means that they shouldn't loose their spots.

Kate (Studio Owner) POV -
I do like that idea. But is it going to go well with the rest of A troupe? I really don't know how some of them are you to react.

"Okay. And What about the other 6 spots. Who are the auditions open to?" Kate asked. Emily immediately came forward and said, "A troupe only!"  But Richelle didn't agree with that. "No. We should open it up to everyone, we need to have the strongest team at Nationals." She pushed, trying to show how much she Cared for that team.

"I actually agree with her" Piper said.

Piper (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
The best team needs to be sent to Nationals. But the Wildcard team is the reason we're able to even discuss this so they should have automatic spots on the team... Even if it makes it harder of others to make it.

"You know what guys. Let's take a vote. Who agrees that the Wildcard team should have garunteed spots on the team?" Kate asked. Most of the dancers put their hand up high in the air. "Well then it's decided. But we need to start with auditions right away. So they will take place tomorrow!" She announced.

Kate (Studio Owner) POV -
Now only 6 dancers on the Nationals team are up for grabs. They better bring it!

Java Junction

Noah (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
Right now I'm in the Java Junction, She told me she wants back in on A troupe. And now that we're definitely going to Nationals. I want to talk to her to see if she can audition for the 6 spots.

Amanda (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
The last time that i auditioned for Regionals team, i missed it because of the tour audition that I didn't make. So I'm not sure how to ask her if I can audition for A troupe after I left for the tour and I got kicked out for it.

"... Yeah. But how are we going to let Kate allow me?" Amanda said, little did she know that Kate was walking in to the Java Junction. "Ask Kate for what?"  She asked, coming closer to them.

Amanda (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
It's now or never.

"Well I wanted to ask, now that the auditions for A troupe open up again...if I could audition for the Nationals team?" She asked. "I really regret it and I..."

"You want to go to Nationals? Try team Gemini!" 

Amanda (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
What are the Gemini Dancers doing here?

Kate (Studio Owner) POV -
Again? This isn't good... At all!

Next time - Amanda is beaconed with a descions. Auditions for the 6 spots begin.
