46. We're going to make it (Nationals)

Ella (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
We're all in the wings right now and we're about to compete in the Smaller group rounds and I'm so nervous but I'm so excited at the same time!

James (Break Dancer) POV -
We all had to learn a routine Choreographed to the same song by the Nationals board but we get to make up the last 4 counts of 8. The dance looked pretty tight in rehearsal and even if we don't so well in set down Choreography element, our freestyle at the end will give us edge.

Piper (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
This is going to be my first time on the Nationals stage! From the wings we cam here the audience and the cheering, I just can't wait to take in all the lights and just dance here, it's going to be amazing!

Dance. Inc just gave a solid performance. But are The Next Step going to beat that? They are the team that everyone is focusing on and asking that all important question: Will they redeem themselves after what happened at Regionals? Let's find out here at the absolute dance National Championship!

"This is it! You're on! Good luck!"

The team watched in hope as Ella, James, Noah, piper and Amanda all got onto the stage and ready in their positions. The Background canvas faded the Nationals logo as it changed into a reddish colour. conveniently, the boards style of dance was fairly hiphop which was a big element of the teams original Choreography. So the costumes suited the dance.

"WooooW!"
"You guys are smashing it!"

Amanda (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
I feel super confident, I'm dancing with my friends, I'm dancing with my boyfriend, I'm dancing with my family. I know that we can make it to the next round!

Ella (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
You know it's going really well, I feel that the audience is enjoying our performance and hopefully the judges can see that!

James (Break Dancer) POV -
It gets the point where we have to do our own dancing, and seeing as Alfie betrayed us like that we made a pact not to use the part he helped us with. So we're free styling and it's going really well!

Tré Armstrong - SNR Network
Did we just witness a dance miracle on stage chuck? What an amazing and exciting dance we have just watched. The Next Step really worked with the Choreography they had to learn... I think the judges are ready with the results.

Richelle (Dance Captain) POV -
I'm nervous for them, because if we advance then I'm up next in the 4 Person Dance round.

I'm stoked! We're in the 4 Person Dance round and if we win that, we're onto the Semifinals!

Emily (Alternate) POV -
I'm proud of everyone. But now we're getting to the rounds where it's only the very best competitors, if we haven't upped our game yet, we really need to now!

The Next Day

The Lobby

Riley (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
We're in the lobby for the 4th day at day at Nationals and this time it's the 4 Person Dance which replaces the duet round which me and James competed last year.

James (Break Dancer) POV -
And if we win that, it's time for the Semifinals!

"Dancers. We're going to go through to the rehearsal space in around 5 minutes so could you please gather up your things and get ready to move please?" Kate asked, as she came through the clump of dancers while having an in depth conversation with Emily. Richelle was also very nervous for that round too -

Richelle (Dance Captain) POV -
My leg has been feeling better, but my scan is after nationals. So I'm just hoping I don't hurt it further whilst dancing or practicing any of the Dances.

"Okay, dancers Let's move out!"

Riley (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
I'm so excited!

Auditorium

Welcome to the Absolute Dance National Championship! We're entering the 4 Person Dance round and at this portion of the competition only 8 teams remain out of a grand total of 64! Now to our 4TH team,

Emily (Alternate) POV -
Joanne Chapman just took to the stage so the team must get into their costume because they are up soon, we faced Joanne Chapman last year and beat them in the Semifinals. I can tell they want a rematch.

Around 15 Minutes later, A troupe were all in the wings. They would be up really soon, and some of the teams we're making them really nervous. Gemini was about to do their performance out of stage, but the team were hoping that another team would eliminate them before A troupe had to face them.

PLEASE WELCOME TO THE STAGE, TEAM GEMINI!

As the Gemini teams group of 4 dancers walked out onto the stage, A troupe gathered around the entrance of the wings to watch them. Alfie was dancing in that routine, along with the Gemini twins that always seemed to cause trouble for A troupe.

Kate could tell their performance was making them nervous. So she called them away back to the dressing tables that were deeper into the wings. "Look guys don't think about them. When we face them, we face them. But right now we're going up against CDC. So focus on that alright?"

James (Break Dancer) POV -
We've made it this far, and there is no way that we're going to be leaving just yet.

"We have around 2 minutes before we get out on stage, so everyone get ready who is about to perform" Kate said, and with that they all returned back to their places as the results came in.

THE JUDGES HAVE ARRIVED AT A DECISION, THE STUDIO MOVING ON TO THE SEMI FINAL ROUND IS

Now that really doesn't surprise me Tré I think a lot of people saw that coming, now Gemini will face Joanne Chapman in the Semifinals.

Riley (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
Walking out onto the stage, my nervous are going but at the same time I'm so so excited! My team is depending on all of us to get them to the next round.

Noah (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
I'm doing this with such fantastic dancers and it's time to kick butt out their with our amazing Contemporary and Hiphop Mashup Choreography!

Richelle (Dance Captain) POV -
I'm confident... But I just hope my leg is up to it.
