Chapter Twenty-Eight

Nagising ako ng panay ring ng phone ko. When I check my phone it was Eunice. She said Dani is in the hospital. That's why I immediately fix myself and go straight to her house.

"Babe?" Tawag ko sa kanya. Habang nag dri-drive ako papuntang ospital.

She seem so quite. Kanina pa..

"Hmmm?" From my peripheral view nakita kong lumingon siya sa akin.

"Sorry about the last night." I told her.

"Bakit may ginawa ka ba kagabi?" Alam ko alam niya kung anong ibig kong sabihin.

"You don't have to keep it from me Babe." I honestly told her. " i'm sorry."

"It's fine." She said as she took a deep sighed "you don't have to worry about anything. I understand." Then she give me an assuring smile.

But I don't think it's genuine though. I know behind those smiles.. She is sad... And I am the one who is inflicting that sadness to her. After what happened last night.. After what I had learned. Nahihirapan ako. Pero alam ko mas na sasaktan ko siya. Kaya hindi na ako nag salita pa. I just don't want to complicate things anymore.

She is open towards her feelings but if it's about Cassy. Alam ko she choose not to say it. She choose to keep it from me.

Hindi ako nakatulog kagabi kakaisip. The thoughts of my new discovery kept me awake.

Nilayuan ako ni Cassy kasi she got afraid to lose me.. But she did.. She did lose me during the process. And now she's back.. She's back because I already have Eunice in my life. She's back because wala ng rason para ilayo ako sa kanya katulad ng ginawa sa kanila ni Ate Raffy. And those thought made me realized that at the end of everything... I am just her friend. Only a friend at wala ng hihigit pa doon.

I give a quick glance at Eunice. While she is looking outside the window. I bet she's a deep thoughts and I am wonder what she's thinking.

When we arrive at the hospital ay agad kaming pumunta sa room ni Dani. It's funny how Eunice scold at Dani. Inawat ko na nga lang kasi kawawa naman ang kaibigan ko kakagising pa lang eh pinapagalitan na siya. Hahaha... But despite that.. Alam ko naman na nag aalala lang si Eunice sa pinsan niya. Wala din kasi sila tito ngayon and I know how close they are. Para na silang magkapatid.

"Saan mo gustong pumunta babe?" Tanong ko sa kanya habang nag dri-drive ako.

I pick her up from her photoshoot. Buti na nga lang dito lang sa manila yung photoshoot niya. Minsan kasi out of town eh.

"Ikaw na bahala babe." Sabi niya habang naka pikit.

"I think it's better to go home. You look tired." Saka saglit ko siyang tinignan.

Nakita kong umiling ito.

"I'm fine." Sabi niya saka naka ngiting tumingin sa akin.

"Are you sure about that?" Paninigurado ko.

"Oo naman. Basta kasama kita.. Okey ako." Sagot naman niya.

I smile as a response to what she had said.

After few minutes drive. Ay huminto kami sa isang restaurant.

"Babe bakit parang walang tao?" Tanong ni Eunice na agad humawak sa braso ko nung pumasok kami.

"Wala talaga." Sabi ko then take her hand "because I rented the whole place."

Then the spot light opened. Kaya nakita yung table for two na napapaligiran ng bulaklak.

"Do you like it babe?" Tanong ko kay Eunice. Habanag nag lalakad kami papunta sa table..

"I..I don't like it." Sabi nito kaya napalingon ako "I love it.. I love it babe." I see amusement in her eyes
