Chapter Thirty-Six

Eunice

I want to hug her... To kiss her... I want to feel her but I can't... Seeing the rage on her eyes hurts me... The way she look at me gives me pain.

"Andy.." Walk towards her.

"I didn't ask you to come in." She said coldly. Kaya napahinto ako.

"Andy.." Tears starts to build up on my eyes.

Naiintindihan ko kung bakit siya ganito... Naiinindihan ko yun.. At inaasahan ko na ganito pero ang hirap.. Ang sakit..

Kakarating ko lang galing US at dito mismo ako sa unit ni Andy dumiretcho. Gusto kong siya yung una kong nakita.. Gusto kong siya yung unang maka alam na nadito ako.

"Andy asaan ka na?" Narinig kong sigaw ng isang babae. Lalong bumilis yung tibok ng puso ko sa kaba. She's with her.. "Sino ba yan?" And there she is lumitas siyang bigla sa likod ni Andy. Natigilan siya ng makita niya ako.

"Eunice.." Nakatingin siya sa akin tapos kay Andy. We were like that for a minute nag kakatinginan. Until she broke the silence.

"Come in Eunice." She said.

"No." Pag pigil naman ni Andy.

Pero tinignan lang siya ni Cassy saka muling tumingin sa akin. "You may come in Eunice." Then she open the door widely at wala ng nagawa si Andy.  Iba na yung ayos ng unit niya.

"Have a seat" naka ngiting sabi ni Cassy. Hindi ko alam kung bakit siya ganito sa akin. Umupo ako "just make yourself comfortable ah.." Sabi niya "anyways sabay ka na sa amin mag lunch but for the mean time  you want soda or juice i know your tired from your flight."

"Water will do." Sagot ko.

She nod. Saka tinalikuran ako at lumapit kay andy. I guess she did say something kay Andy reason for Andy to seat across my seat.

It was dead silence. Nakatingin lang ako sa kanya at siya din. I really miss her...

"I'm sorry." I broke the silence and i think it was the words to say. To say sorry for leaving her without notice.

"Sorry?" She mock. Napayuko ako. "For what Eunice? For leaving me ng walang pasabi?Is that what your asking for sorry?" Hindi ako makasagot. Dahil hindi ko pwedeng sabihin sa kanya yung rason. Hindi ko pwedeng sabihin sa kanya ang dahilan "or your saying sorry dahil you have to keep me a secret dahil baka ika sira ng career mo."

Bigla akong napaangat ng tingin sa kanya. "No Andy.. No." Mabilis kong sagot.

"Then why Eunice? Bakit mo ako iniwan ng ganun na lang?" I hear crack on her voice and it hurts me. It hurts me because I am the reason of her pain. I am the reason why she's hurting.

"I'm sorry Andy." Tears flow in my cheeks.

"SORRY?!" Halos pa sigaw niyang sabi "yan lang ba ang kaya mong sabihin?"

I just stare at her as tears are flowing.

"Ano ba Eunice?! Sabihin mo naman sa akin oh! Because I deserve to know why! I deserve to know the reason!"

"Because I have to...Because I need to.." I answer "andy I'm sorry."

Tumayo siya. "Talk to me when you are ready to tell me why."

Then she stand up and walk away from me.

Andy

"Andy..."

"Not now Cassy." I snap at her

Umupo siya sa tabi ko.

 "I did what you told me." I look at her "but all I heard was Sorry."
