I’ve been walking around Atlanta for more than a year! Basically after this whole Zombie Apocalypse started. I lost all my family. I watched them get bitten. It was really hard to see that. But I’m pretty sure I’m a lot tougher than I was before. At least I am a tough for a 13 year old.

CRUNCH! That was the sound of walker’s stepping on branches. I got my knife and waited for them to get closer to me. I looked everywhere until I finally saw a walker. I walked up to it and stabbed it in his head. I then saw more walkers coming towards me. I backed up a bit and stabbed the ones that were getting close to me.

BAM! That was the sound of a gun going off. I saw a walker go down. I looked around to see who was shooting. I saw a boy with a cowboy hat, around my age shooting the other walkers. I turned back to stabbing walkers in the head.

I looked around and saw that there were no walkers left. I looked around to see if the boy was there. He was still standing there in the same place as he was before.

“You got some skills with knifes” The boy said.

“Ummm…Thanks your good at shooting” I said.

“Thanks are you alone?” He asked me.

“Yeah what about you? “I said sadly and asked him.

“No I have my dad and my friend Michonne. Do you want to come with us?” He asked me.

“I need to know your name and more about you!” I said.

“Oh sorry I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Carl and I will tell you more about me if you come with me. Now tell me your name and about yourself” Carl said with a wink.

“My name is Shakya and okay Carl I’ll go with you. I will tell you about myself on our way to your dad and friend” I said to him. I don’t know why but I think I like this boy already. I mean he is cute and he seems nice.

“Okay let’s go Shakya. Follow me “Carl said with a smirked

On our way to his dad and friends place, we spend our time talking and laughing. We got to know more about each other. Turns out we have a lot of things in common. Each time we talked seems that I started to like him more.

“So that was all about you right?” I asked Carl.

“Yeah. Was that everything about you?” He asked me.

“Yeah. You know Carl you seem like a cool kid to hang out with. Thanks for letting me come with you” I said

“Well I wasn’t going to let a beautiful girl out in the forest alone.” He said to me with a wink

“I’m not beautiful but thanks” I said and giggled.

“Um….Shakya I forgot to tell you something about me” He said nervously.

“What is it?” I asked him.

“I know we just met but I think I like you” Carl said looking at the floor

“I think I do to. But I think we should get to know each other a little bit more” I said looking at the ground as well.

“Fine with me. Take all the time you need” Carl said smiling at me.

“Thanks but I do like you. I just want you to know that. Don’t think I don’t.” I said smiling at him

“Welcome and I know you do. I could tell by just looking at your eyes” He said.

“Awe and C’mon lets hurry it’s about to be dark” I said.

“Okay “He said and smiled.

He grabbed my hand and we walked to were Carl’s dad and friend were staying.

“Were here. I think my dad will let you stay.” He said and we walked in the house.

“DAD! MICHONNE! I HAVE SOMEONE WITH ME!” Carl yelled to his dad which I think was upstairs.

Carl’s dad and Michonne came running upstairs to were Carl and I were.

“Dad she could help us. I saw her killing some walker’s earlier. She is skilled. She was alone too. I didn’t want anything to happen to her so I brought her with me. Her name is Shakya” Carl said to his dad.

“Okay, Shakya you can stay with us but you can’t hurt us. You’re going to have to help us kill walkers. Welcome to the team, I’m Rick. I am Carl’s dad.” Rick said.

“I’m Michonne you better be focus when we are out there. Welcome to the team” Michonne said.

“Well we have to go back upstairs and plan something. You guys stay here” Rick said.

Rick and Michonne ran upstairs and I stayed downstairs with Carl.

“I’m glad they said yes. They usually say no when we meet new people. Michonne usually doesn’t like other people joining the team. I guess she liked you that’s good” Carl said smiling.

“Good” I said smiling.

Carl and I spent the whole night talking about anything and everything. It was fun. After a few weeks I got along with Rick and Michonne and then Carl asked me out and everyone accepted our relationship. It was the best relationship I ever had. Carl and I were really in love. I’m glad we met in the forest. I remembered like it was just yesterday. Ever since we met I knew I liked him. Actually love him.
