The Next Day
Mercedes' POV:

Don't get me wrong. I love Rachel. She's like the sister I never had. But she's competition. She's in the way of me becoming a star. I mean, she always gets the spotlight, the solos. And what do I get? Nothing. I deserve it too. I deserve to get some good out of my life just as much as she does.

"Mercedes, can we talk?" I hear someone say. Of course, I turn around to see Rachel

"We have nothing to talk about Rachel. Sectionals are tomorrow, and I want a solo to showcase my talent. You want the same. Mr. Shuester will decide who gets the solo." I say, and go to walk away

"We have been friends for so long! You know about my kind of ambition. You know that this is important!" She says to me

"If we are such good friends, then you should know how much this means to me. You should know that this is important to me too" I say, with a clear attitude towards her

"Mercedes, I've been through rough times lately, I was hoping that a solo at sectionals would be able to help me through this time in my life" she says back to me

"Everyone goes through times Rachel. You just have to get over yours." I say, and walk away.

In Glee Club..
Rachel's POV:

I'm walking arm in arm with Finn into the choir room, and as soon as I walk in, everyone stared at me. I'm not keeping my mouth shut any longer, so I decide to say something

"Got a problem?" I say to them all

"No. But you might." Lauren says and points to the front of the room

I look to see Ms. Pillsbury.

"What the hell?" I say

"I know you all have questions, and I do plan on answering them. So, let me first answer the question all of you are gonna ask. Mr. Shuester is suspended. The reason being, I have yet to be informed about. But, I have been given specific instructions as to what I'm supposed to do. So, Mercedes, your supposed to sing for us?" She says

"Yes I am" Mercedes says, and gets up and stands in the front of the room

"Well, lets hear it" Ms. Pillsbury says, and sits down

"I have chosen a song that I've been practicing for a long time." She says. "Do I even need to tell you what song?" She says to Brad, and she begins the song
