On the 8th of April, Scott and I did something that would give every first class lady and gentleman a heart attack if they saw us. I ran away from him and he chased me. The whole Titanic was our play area and it felt as if we were children. Scott probably went easy on me but nonetheless it was something that was beyond fun. My pins had long fallen out from my hair in the suite since it started by him making my hair come down. I had, lucky, my flats on as we ran but the newly polished deck was still slick so I was sliding in some parts.

I looked over my shoulder and saw Scott laughing as he tried to catch me. I would pick up my pace and run to a new deck, using the stairs that made it easy to go from deck to deck. We went all the way up to the Boat Deck and all the way down to the Orlop Deck, where the cargo would be stored in two days time. We ran through virtually every room. I would use the furniture as shields from Scott when we got into certain rooms and then bolt past him. We did stay out of other suites and sleeping quarters but even the boiler room was fair game, although the men in the boiler room did protest.

"Do you give up Mae?" Scott asked as he cornered me in the pool room. I backed up until I hit a wall. He stood with his hands on his hips in front of me. I laughed as he took several steps closer to me and then I ran towards him and pushed him into the pool. He seemed shocked and the splash got a few drops on me. He popped out of the water and stared at me.

"Never!" I yelled as I ran out of the pool room. I kept running, thinking that it was my chance to lose him and hide but before I knew it, I heard someone running behind me. I looked back and it was a very wet, but smiling, Scott. I shrieked and picked up my pace. However, the chase was finished as two officers turned and I turned at the same time causing all three of us to fall. I slid across the floor and stopped as I hit the wall on the other side of the hall.

"Mae!" Scott yelled as he ran towards me and was instantly by my side. I pushed myself up into a sitting position as the officers got on either side of Scott. I shook my head a little and looked at the three men looking at me.

"Are you feeling dizzy, Miss?" one of the officers asked. I was slightly shaken up and leaned back against the wall.

"Go fetch her water. She must be in shock," Scott ordered. The younger of the two officers got up and took off to what I would assume would be the kitchen considering Scott's order.

"The medic is aboard the ship to make sure everything that he needs is on the ship. Once the medic's assistant returns with the water, we will assist you to the medical office," the officer said.

"I am fine," I said, even though there was a pounding pain in the back of my skull. I tried to stand but Scott stopped me as my arms shook under the weight of my body.

"It is better to get checked out by a professional than realise that something is wrong later, Mae. Please just go to the medic's for me," Scott said. I whined and closed my eye.

"Miss, keep your eyes open," the officer said. I opened my eyes and looked at Scott and the officer.

"Mae, listen to me. You'll be okay," Scott said. He touched the back of my head and I saw him look really concerned about me.

"It was just a little accident. I just need a moment to-" I started.

"Miss, all do respect, but you slid down a twenty foot hallway only to hit a wall," the officer said. Scott straightened out my right leg and I gasped as he moved my leg. I looked at my leg and saw all the missing skin on my leg.

"Why is the skin is missing?" I asked as I tried to move away from my leg.

"It's a drag burn. It happens all the time," Scott said as he moved my left leg out as well so my legs were next to each other and he could look at them.

"Here is some water," the medical assistant said as he returned with a glass that had water in it. Scott took it and put it against my lips. He helped me drink the water in small sips.

"Go tell the medic that we are going to bring him a female patient that needs her legs wrapped due to drag burn. We will start moving her in a minute," the officer said as Scott took the glass away from me.

"Return this to the kitchen as well," Scott said as the medical assistant stood up. I watched as the medical assistant stood and took the glass.

"Miss, what hurts?" the officer asked as I watched the medical assistant leave.

"My legs. The back of my head. I'm fine," I whispered.

"You are going to the medic and then we will relax for a couple days," Scott said. I whined and he wrapped my arms around his neck. He slid his arm under my legs and picked me up. I leaned against his shoulder as he used his free hand to hold my back. "Lead the way to the medic," Scott ordered the officer.

"Certainly," the officer said.

"I apologise," I whispered.

"It is fine Miss. What is important is that you are feeling well," the officer said and I cuddled closer to Scott.
