"They were under distress!" my granddaughter shouted. I looked at Scott who aged very well.

"Or that we cannot think clearly about what is happening when we are trying to save our lives," I said. They looked at us and then exchanged a look. They were both young adults so we knew that our children would not kill us if we told about the Titanic.
"Grandma, Grandpa, what are you talking about?" our granddaughter asked as we held hands.
"I think it's time that you learn about what happened on the Titanic," I stated as they both settled down on the ground in front of us.

I told them the whole story and they were silent for a while. Scott rubbed my knuckles throughout as they listened and processed the story.
"I told you that it was true," our grandson whispered. Our granddaughter looked at him harshly and then up at us.
"Are you saying that Mr Ismay blackmailed you?" our granddaughter asked. I nodded.
"You mustn't tell a soul, understood?" I asked. They nodded as they looked at each other. I leaned back and smiled at Scott. Fifty years after the Titanic sunk and I was happy with everything that we had.
