Emma helped me change my clothes that evening. I was wearing a white dress that had long sleeves that hooked around my middle finger to keep them down. The arms were lace and the top layer of the dress was lace as well. She helped me into white heels and did my hair up into a nice evening up do.

"Thank you Emma," I said as I stood. She bowed her head.

"It was nothing Miss Morgan," Emma said. I smiled and Emma opened the door for me. Scott was standing in the middle of the sitting room in a really nice suit. His hair was brushed back and he looked absolutely handsome.

"Mr. Sire, you certainly clean up nicely," I said as I joined him at his side. He took my arm and we looked at each other in the eyes.

"And you, Miss Morgan, look stunning this evening," he said. I smiled and he started to lead the way out of the room. I held my dress up so I didn't step on the edge and fall.

"Did Mr. Ismay say why he wanted to have a dinner us tonight?" I asked. Scott made his way down the hall while helping me and headed for the first class luxury dining facility called the Café Parisien.

"He did not but I know that we find out very soon here. I refuse to take answers that go around what I ask, especially in front of my fiancée," he said as we stopped in front of the doors to the café.

"Scott, don't push him to hard. He controls our whole lives at this point and we can't risk losing it now. I don't have my father anymore, only you and I barely know you," I said. He touched my cheek and smiled.

"I know and I wouldn't think about ruining your life. We are engaged which means that we have to serve and protect each other," he said. I smiled at him and he opened the door.

"Miss Morgan, Mr. Sire, thank you for joining me tonight," Mr. Ismay said and we looked at him as he stood from his seat.

"It is a pleasure. Thank you for inviting us," Scott said as he pulled my chair out for me and I sat down.

"Miss Morgan, you look beautiful tonight," Mr. Ismay said as he sat back down. I looked at Mr. Ismay as Scott sat down next to me.

"Thank you Mr. Ismay," I said and he looked at Scott.

"Your fiancé is an expert negotiator, Miss Morgan," Mr. Ismay said.

"That is something good to know considering that he will be supporting me for many years to come," I said. Scott looked at me.

"Which will be something that Mr. Ismay has opened the door for us to even be engaged," Scott said as we exchanged a look.

"That is very true so I do have to thank Mr. Ismay for making my life one that is protected by a gentleman," I said as I looked at Mr. Ismay once more.

"There is no need to thank me," he said. I nodded and folded my hands on my lap.

"Mr. Ismay, all do respect, but why did you invite myself and my fiancée to dinner tonight?" Scott asked. Mr. Ismay leaned back and smiled.

"Well, we can't just let your engagement go without a celebration," Mr. Ismay said as the door opened. I kept my eyes on Mr. Ismay as the door opened.

"Miss Morgan, it's a pleasure to see you again so soon," Captain Smith said. I broke eye contact with Mr. Ismay and looked at Captain Smith walking towards us with Thomas.

"Captain Smith, how are you?" I asked as he kissed my hand.

"I am doing well today. My wife loved the drawing you did of me," he said as he took his seat to my right.

"I'm glad that she likes the drawing," I said. "Captain Smith, I am pleased to introduce my fiancé, Mr. Scott Sire." Scott stood and shook hands with Captain Smith.

"I wasn't aware that my fiancée was familiar with you, Captain Smith," Scott said. I looked at Scott and he put his hand on my shoulder.

"Captain Smith and I met on the second and I drew him yesterday," I told him. He nodded and sat back down on my left.

"Well, I propose a toast to Mr. Sire and Miss Morgan and their engagement," Mr. Ismay said as the waiter brought us all wine. I lifted my glass for the toast and the three dignified men took a sip.

"Thank you on behalf of my fiancée and myself," Scott said before we both took a sip and we both put down the wine.

"Mr. Sire, you have to make sure that your fiancée doesn't stop drawing. It would be a shame for a talent like that to be lost," Captain Smith said. I smiled at the table and Scott touched my arm.

"I will certainly try but she hasn't exactly showed me her work to a great extent," Scott said.

"I was planning on showing you but we just haven't gotten the time quite yet," I stated, embarrassed. I didn't want to show him all of my drawings. He had already see some and I wasn't ready to draw him.

"She has raw talent. She isn't like these newer - what do they call themselves? Impressionists? - that make you guess what they want you to feel. She is a realist," Captain Smith told the other men.

"Perhaps I should have her draw me," Thomas said.

"It would be an honour to draw you, Thomas," I said.

"Actually, gentlemen, the night of the fifteenth we will be having a celebration for Mae's nineteenth birthday. Will you be able to grace us with your presence?" Scott asked.

"I will be able to go. It would be an honour to celebrate the nineteenth birthday of the future Ms. Mae Sire," Thomas said.

"I will be more than happy to attend Miss Morgan's birthday party," Mr. Ismay said.

"I'll have to talk to my officers and make sure they can handle the ship while I'm absent," Captain Smith said and I smiled.
