We ran down the stairs and went into the Orlap Deck that we knew that stewards would be angry if they found us down there. I laughed as Scott held my hand and walked through the varies doors. He held my hand tight as he entered the last holding deck and the most front one that had cars in it. I smiled as he opened the door to one of the car and helped me into a car.

"What are we doing here?" I whispered as we cuddled close together. I leaned against his shoulder and he put his arm around my shoulder.

"Finding solace. We have been acting too much and I want to have some time just being happy together," he said. I laid my head on his shoulder.

"I am actually getting hungry," I muttered to him and he pulled out his watch. I looked over his shouder to see the cracked glass and wear on the pocket watch.

"It is eleven thirty already so it would make sense that you are getting hungry. Maybe we can head up to the deck and find a steward to bring us something," he said as he opened the door and got out before helping me. He navigated to a stairwell and we went up where we were on deck.

"It's a beautiful night," I commented. He looked out and walked towards the bow which I followed him to.

"The water is so calm. It will be hard to see anything," he said as he leaned against the railing. I leaned against his back and he turned around so I was on his chest. It was cold but he was so warm. The wind was hardly blowing and it was so calm. I could stay there forever.

"Iceberg! Right ahead!" someone yelled and a bell started ringing. I looked up and Scott turned around. I felt my eyes grew as I saw an iceberg right in front of us.

I heard the screaming of officers and bells but it sounded so far as I looked at the iceberg that was only getting larger as we approached it. I held tightly on to Scott's jacket and he pulled me to his side.

"Turn. Turn you b*****ds," Scott muttered. I shook in my spot as Scott held me to his body. The ship started turning and Scott ran to the railing. I stood right at the front, where Scott left me, as the iceberg came dangerously close to the ship. It finally started turning and I let out a sigh of relief but Scott ruined that. "It's going to hit!" Scott screamed on the top of his lungs to the Bridge as he pushed me to the ground and there was a scraping sound against the ship.

"What in God's name?" I asked after the ship shook and the iceberg was away from us.

"Are you okay?" he asked. I looked at him as he stood up. I took a deep breath as he helped me up and I looked around.

"I think so," I said as we walked to the railing to look at the iceberg that was getting further away from us.

"Bring it to a full stop," Captain Smith said from above us. Scott took my hand and ran up the stairs to the captain.

"Captain, what can we do?" Scott asked. Captain Smith looked at me and shook his head.

"Return to your suite. Your fiancée is shaking, Scott," Captain Smith stated. Scott looked at me as Thomas ran out.

"Mae, I need your help," Thomas said as he held a stack of rolled up blue prints. I looked at him.

"With what?" I asked. He used his free hand to grab me and started pulling me away.

"Mathematical calculations," he said. I stopped and looked at the Captain.

"I am certain that Officer Lowe and Officer Murdoch can vouch for Scott, Captain. Scott, meet me back here in an hour if we don't meet sooner," I stated. Scott walked over and kissed me harshly.

"An hour," Scott repeated. I walked with Thomas and we entered his drawing his office. We cleaned the desk, just throwing papers to the floor then rolling out the deck plans.

"Water has already filled the first five compartments," he told me. I looked at him.

"I think we both know what that means without math, Thomas," I stated.

"I know. I just need someone to help me figure out when it will happen," he stated. I looked at the plans and tried to clear my head but the same thought came to mind.

"Wh-what is the rate the water is filling at?" I asked.

"Too fast. I don't know if we will make it to morning," he said. I closed my eyes and did some math in my head before my throat closed up.

"If I have to make a guess two hours is the longest that the Titanic will be above the water, with pumps running," I stated. He leaned against the table and closed his eyes.

"Mae, I am so sorry that I am adding something else to your plate," he told me. I bit my lip and shook my head.

"Thomas, it isn't your fault," I stated. He smiled, sadly, at me.

"You know how many people are dying tonight," he stated. I nodded.

"At least a thousand, sir," I whispered.

"Scott and yourself will not be one of those. Please get Scott and put on your life belts while I inform the crew, captain and Bruce," he told me. I nodded as I walked backwards from the office.

"Thomas?" I asked. He looked at me.

"Yes Mae?" he asked. I walked over to him and kissed his cheek.

"May God be with you tonight," I whispered. He nodded and kissed my cheek lightly.

"May God be with you tonight, Mae," he whispered back. I stepped back and headed for the door. I looked back at Thomas Andrews and sighed before I started running to the Bridge.
