Once we got back to the hotel, Scott and John made plans to meet for dinner at eight. John said that some other people that he associates himself with would be at the dinner. Scott led me upstairs to the thirteenth floor. I twisted my engagement ring and he watched as the elevator operator made the elevator go up.

"Are you okay, Mae?" he asked. I looked at him and he tilted his head at me.

"Yeah, just ready to leave London. Promise me, we will never return to London," I said. He furrowed his eyebrows at my request as the elevator operator stopped on the proper floor.

"Why is that? London is your home," he said as he escorted me off the elevator.

"It was home with my parents, not with you and both my parents are out of my life now," I said. He opened the door to the room and I walked in with my head down.

"Emma, Robert, leave," Scott ordered as I sat on the couch and looked at the fire place. Emma and Robert both retreated into their shared room as Scott sat next to me. "You looked so happy today while we were walking around," he whispered as he sat next to me.

"Because I had to act and I knew that I wouldn't be coming back more than likely," I said, softly. He was silent and I looked over at him.

"Things haven't changed that much yet. I left New York because I knew that the streets held terrible memories but now," he started, "Now, I really want to be back in New York. With you.

"Some things change over time and for me, right now, that's the addition of you into my life. I had never had someone that relied on me for support but you are part of me now, even though that we were forced together. I never had someone who needed me to bring home money so they'll survive.

"Maybe, right now it doesn't seem like anything is changed but you haven't let time take its course. I hate to say but you are in the same position that you were last month, someone supporting you. But did you ever thing that you would stay in this hotel? It's all rich folk and it's something that if Mr. Ismay didn't need or want to protect his reputation I wouldn't be here with you right now. I wouldn't think what I think." I looked at him.

"What do you think?" I asked. He moved a little closer and held my hands.

"I think that I am in love with you, Mae Morgan," he whispered as he put his forehead against my own. I looked into his green eyes as he put his hands on my cheeks.

I slowly realised why everything seemed so easy. Why I've been smiling a million times more than I usually did. Why I didn't mind being in silence with him.

"I think I'm in love with you too, Scott Sire," I whispered. He leaned forward and kissed my lips softly. I kissed him back and held his shoulders. It was the first ever kiss I had that wasn't family.

"Would you like to do that again?" he whispered. I nodded and he kissed me again. I smiled and I felt him smile as well. After he pulled away, I looked at my lap as I blushed and the necklace caught some light and shined a little. I looked up and his chin was against his shoulder as he watched me.

"Stay there and don't move," I said as I jumped up and ran towards the bedroom. I grabbed my sketch book and pencils, kicked off my shoes and ran back to the couch. I sat in my spot with my feet drew up on the couch. I instantly started working.

"I'm done," I said as I signed the picture. MM 5 April 1912. He leaned over to look at my drawing and smiled.

"Now I have proof that you drew all those pictures," he said. I laughed and blew all the excess that may have lingered on the drawing.

"You doubted me?" I asked, laughing. He laughed and pulled me into his side.

"Never," he said as he kissed my lips again. I smiled and put the drawing in my folder and put the folder on table next to the couch. Emma enter silently and we looked at her.

"Would Miss Morgan like assistance into her evening wear?" Emma asked. Scott pulled out his watch and looked at the time but I looked at the old beat up watch.

"It is after six thirty. We should both get dressed," he said as he closed the watch. I grabbed his arm and touched the watch.

"This must mean a lot to you if you are still carrying it. I saw Mr. Ismay left some watches for you," I said. He sighed.

"It was my father's. I couldn't leave in America so I brought it with me. My father taught me to always check the time," he said. I smiled and he smiled back as he moved my hair out of my face.

"He was a smart man who made an even smarter son," I said. He kissed my cheek and hugged me.

"Thank you. Now, go get changed and we can meet the Astors for dinner," he said. I smiled.

"I want you to look as handsome as you possibly can so I'll send Emma to help you immediately after I am finished changing," I said. He chuckled.

"I'll change and then run it by you," he said. I smiled.

"Very well," I told him as I started walking to the dressing room to put on my evening gown.
