Shawn:

She's amazing.

Her way of using words and how she describes things. She blows my mind. "What are you working on?" I asked and she smiled as I sat up and looked at her laptop screen.

"Nothing at the moment. I'm reading one if my old books." She said and handed her laptop to me.

"He looked at her. His hair was still a mess and in the morning light, he never looked more surreal. More than she ever saw him. 'I guess I'm asking you to trust me' he said, holding his hand out to her." I read the part outloud and she just smiled.

"Jeanine you're amazing. I don't know how you do it." I said, shaking my head in disbelief as I saw her cheeks glowing red. "What's it about?" I asked, not reading the entire book but only snippets of some parts.

"So this is about a girl. Her best friend, which here is Grason, went to war. They have unexpressed feelings towards each other and she sends him letters almost every week, telling him piece by piece how she loves him and so forth. Never fully expressing it but only snippets in each letter. But she never receives letters back from him." She said and my eyes grew big.

"That's sad!" I laughed, "But do things work out in the end?" I asked, scooting closer to her and resting my chin in the palm of my hand, really intrigued by this story.

"That's just it. When it's on the verge of all falling apart, he comes back from war. She was mad at first but then when they were on the beach this one mornig, like you read, "In the morning light he never looked more surreal." He handed her all the letters back." She said and I smiled.

"He kept all her letters. Which meant he loved her to. Just haven't got time to write back right?" I asked and she laughed at my enthusiasm.

"Basically yes. He asked her to trust him again because little did she know that he thought about her the same way to." She said.

Okay, officially now.. I'm blown away. She is amazing at this, the way she makes all the pieces fall apart but then get perfectly glued back together in the end.

"But do you know it?" I asked, she furrowed her eyebrows together in confusion as she looked at me. "Know what?" She chuckled and I took her hand in mine, playing with her fingers.

I felt the butterflies in my tummy as my cheeks start to burn.

"That I think about you." I said softly, not making eye contact and just looking down at her hands.

But the moment I looked up at her I saw her cheeks glowing red as she bit fown on her lip to hide her growing smile.
