Shawn:

It was 8 at night, but I'm driving to Ottawa. I need to be there for Jeanine and I need to see her.

"Hi yes. I know it's late but I would like to book a room here till next week Thursday." I said to the receptionist after arriving at the hotel past twelve. "Evening sir. I think we have some toom. Let me just check for you sir." She said and I waited for a while as she searched on her computer, typing away and looking around in papers.

Only thing I remember when I'm in a hotel room is that time I dropped Jeanine off. Her hand in mine as she rested her head up on my shoulder.

God I miss her.

I quickly texted Brian that I'm in Ottawa and the lady called me back. "I'm sorry sir but we only have a open room till next Wednesday." She said and I sighed. What am I supposed to do now? "It's okay. I'll take it." I said and handed her my card to pay for the room.

I can just go stay with someone for the few days remaining before I got to Jeanine's event.

But who? Who will let me in to stay with them for a day?

💕next week💕

Today is my last day in the hotel, and I need to find somewhere to stay before they kick me out.

As I drove down the street back to the hotel after going to the gym, I saw Jeanine and Brian walking on the sidewalk just beside me. They were smiling, laughing.

I'm so haply to see her smiling. I just hope her heart is smiling along.

She looked at me, at me, or at my car, maybe recognizing it. Gosh I miss her, and she's so beautiful.

God.

Even more beautiful than I remember.

It wasn't long after when... "Jeanine?" I questioned after accepting her call a while later. After seeing her walking the streets with Brian.

My heart was pounding in my chest.

She hasn't called me in weeks, months even. "Why are you in Ottawa?" She sighed and I bit down on my lip. "I'm not in Ottawa." I said, but failed for it to sound true because I sounded nervous. Not even I would believe me.

"Don't lie to me you sasquatch I saw your car." She chuckled, making me smile as a warm feeling awoke in my heart. She's doing okay, not well and good, but okay.

"God I missed that." I said softly and she went silent. "I'm really sorry Shawn but things are better this way. I miss you though, don't ever think that I don't." She said. "Trust me Jeanine, this is not better. This is the most unbearable, most painful thing I have ever experienced. I hate this. I hate being distant from you." I said loudly, almost sounding as if I'm yelling at her.

"Please can I just see you, one more time  again before everything fades away. I just need the closure. To see you." I asked, waiting for her answer as silence took over again. I could hear mumbling, whispering, as if she's communicating with Brian about seeing me.

She was procrastinating against it but Brian kept on saying for her to go. "I'd love to." She sighed and I smiled as we quickly arranged time and place.

I'm gonna see my love again, even if it is for the last time.
