Shawn:

I'm so happy that I got to the hospital in time.

They rolled Jeanine in and immediately started with the operation.

I sat beside her, still holding her hand in mine.

"I'm so excited!" I smiled, locking my eyes on hers. "I am too. Can you get the gender?" She asked but I shook my head. "No let's wait a moment." I said and just after that, we heard the first scream of our newborn baby. "Well then. Say hello to your new baby boy." The nurse said, handing him to Jeanine.

"Hi." She said softly as he rested his head on her chest. "He's beautiful." She said, smiling the biggest smile I've ever seen. "Take him." She said and handed him to me.

It's an indescribable feeling. To hold this little person in your arms, knowing it's yours.

Your creation. Your baby.

"What will you name him?" The nurse asked as she stood behind me with his records. I looked at Jeanine and she smiled at me.

We've talked about this before.

What we'll name our kid.

"Logan." She said and I smiled at her as the nurse wrote it down. I kept looking down at him, smiling as his eyes sparkle. He was giggling already, smiling with his gums showing. "He's adorable." I chuckled, pecking his forehead.

"Let's hope he got your looks." Jeanine said and I handed him back to her. "Yeah, and your personality." I said and she laughed.

I can't believe he's here. Our family is now complete.

Maybe in the future we'll decide on a sibling but for now, this is all I could've asked for and more.

💕next day💕

Today Jeanine can be released from the hospital. And now I can take both her and my baby boy back home.

"Jeanine?" I asked as we drove back to her place. "Yeah?" She smiled, looking at me before smiling back at Logan in his chair in the backseat.

We got a lot of baby things when my family and friends threw us a gathered baby shower.

That was the moment when I realized that I'm becoming a father, that I'm getting married to Jeanine.

That this now, is my life, and this is my family.

"Since we're now a family and we're going to get married in a few months. Would you like to mo-" but she cut me off. "I'd love to." She said, kissing my cheek and I blushed. "Believe it or not but I've already put my place up for sale. I just waited for you to ask." She laughed and I grabbed her hand in mine.

Everything is falling into place and it's amazing. The things we have now, the life we're living and what the future will hold. I never thought this will be on me this quickly, yet I feel prepared.

When we got to her place I saw her asleep in the seat next to me.

"Jeanine. Baby, go inside." I said, pecking her cheek as she slowly opened her eyes and loosened her seatbelt. "I'll take the bags." She mumbled and went to the back. She got all the overnight bags that were at the hospital.

Logan was asleep as well.

I smiled as I picked him up out of the seat and carried him inside. Jeanine was on her bed, falling asleep and I layed down beside her with Logan between us. "He's the cutest." She whispered, taking his little hand in hers as he wrapped his around her finger.

She smiled up at me and I kissed her, passionately, before pulling away and letting her fall asleep. I just looked at them.

My two gems.

My own son, and my soon-to-be wife. It's amazing how this all turned out and completely worked out.

And I wouldn't have it any other way.
