Jeanine:

"Please Brian, don't make me regret things more than I already do." I said after letting him in. We went up to my room and sat on my bed as we started to talk.

"You need to just see him, even if you guys aren't getting together again you just need to reassure him that things are still okay. Maybe just be friends." He said.

Clearly oblivious to any relationship after a breakup.

Have you ever seen people breaking up and still be best friends and the way they were, after the whole fiasco?

"I have an event so I can't go." I said and he sighed, before almost having a light bulb moment. "Is it that writers thing? The uhh... the prize giving for the books right?" He asked and I furrowed my eyebrows together as I nodded at him.

Why is he so interested in it?

"Jeanine Richards." He said standing up and I chuckled as he held out his hand to me. "Can I please escort you to your event?" He asked and I laughed. "You can't be serious." I laughed but the expression on his face showed me his seriousness. "Fine." I groaned and took his hand as he pulled me up from the bed.

Brian insisted on staying till the day of the event... that's next week.

He said if he stays he'll assure me that he'll make me feel better. He'll get me to go out and not drown in my own sorrows.

I belive that to, but I doubt things will change in my heart.

I'm just gald I have a friend back.

I was getting only more freaked out the more I watched the same movie, over and over again.

So I stopped.

I know it doesn't make sense, me weeping over a girl. But she's not just any girl. She was one who saw me not for who I am but for who I was. She sees past the fame and past the fortune.

I made a mistake by sending her off.

I was playing guitar when my phone went off, with a text from Brian. "I'm at Jeanine's. She thinks I'm escorting her to her writers event next Friday. Be there!" He said, making my heart pound in my chest.

Excitement.

Thrill.

Love.

I will see her again, maybe this is my chance to fix everything.

I wanted to go down there now, but it's only for a week that I need to wait. I can't though. "Hey Brian." I said after he accepted my call. "Yeah?" He whispered, probably in the environment with Jeanine.

"I'm coming to Ottawa. If the event will be there I'll get an hotel for us to stay there till next week." I said and there was silence. "I kinda told her I'll stay with her. She needs someone, I'm here for her to get her to you. Okay? So uhm.. go to the hotel I'll come and stay the night and then the day of the event I'm just not gonna show up and you NEED TO BE THERE." He said the last part through gritted teeth ans I just replied with an urgent 'yes, okay, I'll be there' as I threw clothes and shoes into a bag.

Ready to take off to Ottawa and get my girl back.
