Part 165

Shawn:

Whilst I was busy rehearsing and doing sound check, Jeanine came running out of my dressing room, grabbed ahold of Brian and ran off with him.

I'd like to say that it's weird, but it's Jeanine so I'm use to it.

But it left me suspicious.

"Hey where did you guys go?" I asked as I saw Brian walking back to me, after Jeanine already disappeared in to the dressing rooms again. "She asked me to take her to the drugstore. I don't know if she got some medication because she looked pale and sick." He said and I rushed to my dressing room to get to her.

She can't be sick now.

"Jeanine?" I asked as I reached my room. "Hey what's u-" but I stopped myself as I saw her standing infront of me, her hand in her hair as a small, unbelievable smile appeared on her face.

What she had in her hands I was still unsure of but it made her happy.

"Shawn." She chuckled with the biggest smile ever. "Jeanine?" I said more like a question, laughing nervously, and walked up to her.

"What's this?" I asked as I stood behind her and wrapped my arms around her. Just then I realized. "I'm uhm... I'm pregnant." She said and I pulled away.

Now I'm the one getting pale and don't know what to do.

"What?" I asked and she showed me the test. "I'm pregnant." She repeated and I ran my hands through my hair. "Shit! I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to get you pregnant. We're not ready for this. You're not rea- I'm not ready for this!" I said loudly, pacing around the room.

"Why would you say this is a mistake?" She asked and I looked at her with big eyes as I saw the disappointment in her eyes from the words I said. "Because!" I said and she chuckled. "Because what?" She asked, walking closer to me. "Because we're not ready for this and-and... how did this even happen?" I asked, running my hands through my hair.

"Last week. We were at your place." She said and I turned around. "Shawn I know this is a big thing now but don't overthink it." She said and I laughed. "Overthinking? Jeanine how are you not stressed out about this? You're pregnant! A baby will be inside you in like what? 9 months!" I panicked and she cupped my cheeks, locking her eyes on mine.

She just looked at me, and I calmed down. She just knows her ways with me. "I'm not stressing about this because I want this. And if you're not ready then that's okay. But I'm raising this child, with or without your help." She said, letting go of my face.

"We're not even married!" I said and she nodded. "So then." She said and bent down onto one knee as she took my hand in hers and removed the ring from my finger, holding it between hers.

I chuckled as she smiled up at me.

She's really doing this now.

"Shawn Peter Raul Mendes. I love you with all my heart, you know that. We had ups and downs and breakaways, but through it all we sticked together. This could be a start of something big and I really want to spend the rest of my life willth you." She smiled and slipped the ring back onto my finger.

"Will you marry me? Again?" She chuckled and I crouched down to her, standing on my one knee before her as well.

"Only if you marry me?" I asked, pulling the ring I got for her out from the box I always keep in my bag, slipping it on to her finger. "Without a doubt." She smiled and crashed her lips to mine.

Now this is officially official.

The engagement is now real and happened, and I still feel the same excitement as the first time I asked her.

"Shawn! Stage time!" Geoff yelled and I sighed getting up from the floor and helping Jeanine up as well. "Knock them dead." She said, pecking my lips and sending me off.

She closed the door behind me as she needs to finish on some work. Ryan, Brian and Jeanine won't be in the crowd tonight, but I'm happy they're here.

"Wait! Jeanine!" I yelled and she opened the door as I ran up to it. "Yeah?" She laughed as I placed my hands on each side of the door and looked at her. "Stop that, you look hot doing that." She laughed and I just shook my head. "You're literally unbelievable." I laughed and she smiled again.

I cleared my throat.

"That's my baby. And I want this life with you. I want a baby with you." I said and she smiled before crashing her lips to mine. "Fantastic. Now go." I kissed her one more time before running down the hall with the biggest smile on my face.

I'm going to be a dad.

I can't wait.

It's a dream come true actually, it just took me off guard.
