Jeanine:
I woke up, rolled over and looked at the clock on my bedside table.
It's almost five in the afternoon. I smiled, seeing the picture of Shawn and I, but as I rolled over, I noticed both him and Logan gone.
"Hey. Hi my boy." I heard soft chuckles and I walked out of the room to find Shawn on the couch with Logan in his arms. His back was facing me, and I smiled as I leaned agains the doorway and looked at him.
He's the best father ever, and it's only day one.
"You sure do have your mother's eyes." He said, kissing his little face. "So you weren't lying when you said that you'll steal my child and I'll have no time with him." I said and he smiled over his shoulder at me. "I wasn't." He laughed.
I walked up to him and stood behind him, looking down at my boy. He smiled, giggling as his eyes met mine.
It warms your heart to see this bundle of joy, smiling and laughing already.
"Come sit with us." Shawn said and I sat down beside him as he handed Logan to me. "Hi." I whispered, smiling at him. When you're around these boys you just can't help but smile.
"I love you." Shawn said, out of nowhere and I looked at him. "I love you more. Thank you for sticking with me through this." I said and he crashed his lips to mine. "Always." He smiled.
I love it when he says that because it's so pure and raw.
"When are we planning on the wedding?" He asked as I rested my back up against him as I layed between his legs. Logan still in my arms, smiling and giggling all the way. "We already have an appointment for this Friday. Maybe tomorrow we should go through to your parents." I said and felt him kissing my shoulder. "Perfect." He said, rubbing and drawing small circles on my arm as I chuckled and Logan reached out for him.
"Who would've thought this little guy could bring us so much joy? I never thought we'd be where we are now. But thank you for keeping your promise. For working just as hard on our relationship as your work." I said smiling, as I felt him brushing his fingers through my hair. I love it when he does that. "Thank you as well. And I promise you Jeanine, I won't let anything get in the way of this family. You guys are my everything." He said, kissing my neck and I handed Logan to him.
The smile on his face is growing so much.
And I love to see how this little dude of ours has such and effect on us.
He's pulling us even closer."I'm going to make some dinner." I said and kissed both him and my son before getting up and walking to the kitchen. "Hey Shawn? Should I move in before or after the wedding?" I asked, starting to make dinner. "Aah before will be fantastic because sharing this will be impossible." He said, kissing Logan's forehead as he laughed.
I haven't really thought about that, that if we live in separate places, Logan will have to stay at his or at mine.
I can't believe I have this family.
It's indescribable.
