Shawn:

Today Nick is leaving to go back to Ottawa. Jeanine is staying with me and I asked Brian to go home for a few days too.

I was scared about asking him though but his reaction was really casual to it.

"Dude were you serious when you said you want to marry Jeanine last night?" He asked as we packed away the dishes.

"I may have been drunk, but yes. I really am. And I'm passionate about my decision because I know she's right for me. Nothing can break what we have, no matter what happens. Even if we're apart for some reason I'll always go back to her. She's the one Brian. I can feel it." I said to him and he just smiled at me.

"Just don't put it on her too fast, the girl still needs to graduate." He laughed and I just chuckled, shaking my head as I finished packing away the last few dishes.

"I won't. It's still too early for me as well. Maybe by next year or something." I said and he nodded, giving me a fistbump with a wink.

"Guess who's back again!" I heard Jeanine singing as she walked into the room. "24k magic in the air!" She sang on and then Nick joined in and I just laughed, walking out of the kitchens to see them dancing and Jeanine trying to beatbox just by the door.

I walked closer and joined in, but they both suddenly just stopped and looked at me with straight faces. "Show off." Nick scoffed walking past me and I laughed, seeing him smiling over his shoulder.

"He said yes." Jeanine squealed softly, jumping up and down. I gasped loudly, pulling her into a hug and crashing my lips to hers as she pulled away. Aaah, kissing her is the best thing ever. "When he leaves we should probably go look at some places." I said but she shook her head.

"We have the rest of the week for that. I just want to spend some time with you today." She pecked my lips and walked to the kitchen for some water. "Okay I'm leaving! See you soon!" Nick yelled at Jeanine.

A strange bond they have, but it's so funny to see them.

"Bye dude." She kissed his cheek, giving him a big hug and telling him to drive safely. "I'll walk you out." I said and he grabbed his overnight bag before we walked out to his car down in the parking lot. "Thanks for taking me with you to the party even though I had to catch my own ride the middle of he night." He said and my eyes grew big as my jaw dropped and heart pounding in my chest.

"Did we leave you there?" I gasped and he laughed as he nodded. "But it's okay. I got a cab and Brian opened the door for me so, all good." He laughed and I placed my hand over my heart.

"I'm so sorry dude." I chuckled, feeling ashamed that we left him there. "No problem. Just take care of my sister okay, and don't do stupid things." He said, raising his one eyebrow up at me. I blushed however, knowing we're way past that stage.

"Not you too! Shawn! She's my little sister! Did you real- you know what. I don't want to know. I don't. Even. Want. To. Know. Just keep her safe." He said and I laughed, giving him a handshake before he got in the car and drove off.

He's so protective over Jeanine and I respect him for that. But I love her, I'll never hurt her and I'll always take good care of her.

I went back up and met Brian on the stairs. He must be on his way.

"Leaving already?" I asked and he nodded. "My cousins came to visit. Enjoy your 'alone time' with Jeanine." He smirked at me, making my cheeks burn as I gave him a hug, saying goodbye before walking back up to my place.
