Jeanine:

Our flight landed and Brian and I rented out a car to drive to the arena and surprise Shawn.

"I'm so excited. I'm going to see him again." I squealed out of happiness as my heart leaped in my chest. "You really do love him, don't you." Brian said and smiled, feeling the heat rising to my cheeks.

"Ugh Brian you don't even know. It can't be described, the love I have for him. I love him so much." I said, looking out the window. "I just want to get my phone." I said and loosened my seatbelt and reached for the back to my bag where my phone is.

"Jeanine! No!" I heard Brian yelled and the next thing I felt was a hard hit to the front of the car.

💕 Shawn:

"Where is she?" I asked Brian and he pointed to a room just down the hall. Doctors were streaming in and out of the room.

"Jeanine! Jeanine!" I yelled as I ran up to the room. "Sir you can't go in!" The doctors said, pushing me back only harder as I push forward.

I saw her lying on a bed.

Looking lifeless.

"Jeanine!" I yelled as the tears streamed down my face. "Sir please! You need to wait outside." She said and just then her heart monitor went out. "No! No! Jeanine!" I yelled out from the top of my lungs and eventually came to push through.

I ran up to her bed and grabbed her hand in mine. "No no no no no! Jeanine, baby please wake up! Wake up!" I held her hand tightly in mine as the doctors came back to trying to oush me oit of the room.

"Just wait!" I yelled to them and they let go of me. I brushed a piece of hair out of her face, seeing the cuts and bruises on her entire body as she layed in the bed.

"Jeanine please. Wake up." I cried, looking at the monitor. 'Beep.' 'Beep.' 'Beep.' It went off again and I cried out of both sadness, heartbreak and relief that she's back again.

Even though she's not fully here.

"Sir please step outside." Another doctor asked and I kissed her hand before walking out and they continued to work on her. "What happened?" I looked at Brian as we sat outside in the hall.

"We were driving to the arena after the plane landed. We wanted to surprise you so we didn't call or tell that we already landed. At the one stop Jeanine and I were talking about you and she went on and on about how excited she is to see you." He chuckled and then the tears rolled down his cheeks again.

"She loosened her belt to get her phone in the back and it was our turn to drive. But as we went over a truck from the front came directly to us, and I was to late to turn out of the way. I grabbed ahold of her as we went head to head with the truck but the impact was too big and she went through the windshield." He sniffed and cried into his hand.

"This was not supposed to happen. We just came to see you and now all this. I'm so sorry dude." He cried and I pulled him into a hug. "Brian it's not your fault. And thank you." I said and he looked at me.

"For?" He asked and I wiepd my eyes. "For being her friend. Taking care of her when I'm not home, and for trying to protect her when this happened." I said and he just nodded, looking the other way.

I sure hope she's okay. All I want to do is go in there and see her, but their still busy.

I wish I never had that dream.

I wish this never happened.

Then she'll be okay.

"Mr. Mendes?" I heard and jumped up. "Yes. Is she okay?" I asked and Brian came up too. "She's... she's not stable but we have her under close observation. But she's not conscious." The doctor said as we walked with him to her room.

"Can I see her?" I asked and he nodded.

I pushed the door open to her room and walked up to her. She has all the machines connected to her and she's not breathing on her own.

"Hey baby." I said as I looked down to her, taking her hand in mine. I saw a tear rolling out of her eye and I quickly wiped it away. "Why is she crying?" I asked the doctor as I wiped my eyes. "When a patient is unconscious, it may be that they can hear what's around them. But that is not Jeanine's circumstance. She's oblivious to everything." He said and I looked back at her.

"You're going to be okay. I'm here and I'm not leaving." I said and sat down beside her bed, still holding her hand in mine.
