Charles watched with a clenched jaw as you made simple conversation with a man known as Idis, who was a well known and admired professor of English Literature at Oxford University; it wasn't as if you were cheating on Charles, as the two of you were only friends, but he felt jealous of the other professor touching you, laughing with you, making you smile. But it grew to be too much. Charles made his way over to you and immediately began staring Idris down.

"Sorry to interrupt, but you need to move your hands away from her before we have a problem," Charles ground out, almost hissing at the other professor. "Are we going to have a problem, Professor Harington?"

"No," Idris reassured, giving your cheek a quick peck before walking away, leaving you and Charles alone.

"Are you jealous?" You queried, raising a brow and smirking.

"I was," he admitted with a nod.

"Wow," you chuckled softly, taking his hand in yours and rubbing your thumbs over his knuckles. "I can't believe that Charles Xavier just got jealous."

"It's because I can't stand to see you with someone who doesn't deserve you," Charles mumbled.

"But I am with someone who deserves me," you said, smiling. "Or, at least, I hope he'll agree to it."

"Who is it?"
"You."

"Me?"

"You, Charles."

"I... Of course I want to be with you."
