You just wanted some peace and quiet for a while, but you also wanted to be in that peace and quiet with the one person you treasured: Charles Xavier.
You invited him up to your room, like you usually did, and he got into the bed beside you.
"Stay with me for a while and pretend the world doesn't exist," you whispered to him, snuggling against him. "Please?"
"Of course," he answered without hesitation or thinking, wrapping his arms around you tightly. "Is everything alright?"
"Everything is so loud lately," you explained gently with a sigh. "I just want some peace and quiet... With you."
"I'm here." He answered softly, and suddenly the conversation died, so you and Charles happily stayed in the silence, in the comfort of one another.
