You walked through the street, shouting your dog's name, hoping that he would come bounding back to you and come home, but you couldn't help but to sigh and sit down on the curb as you began to give up hope; however, after a couple of minutes, someone came and sat beside you.

"You alright, sweetheart?" Asked a gruff voice, causing you to turn and see a bearded man with a friendly smile and kind eyes.

"No," you admitted. "I lost my fucking dog."

"Let me give you a hand," he offered. "I'll help you find him."

"You'd do that?" You asked softly.

"Sure," he nodded. "I'm Tom, by the way."

"You're my saviour," you breathed out, gladly accepting Tom's hand and allowing him to pull you up. "I'm (Y/N)."

"Hey, it ain't a big deal," Tom reassured. "What's your dog's name, love?"

"Eira," you told him. "I lost him earlier today."

"Here," he passed you his phone. "I think it'd be better if we split up to look for him, so if you just whack your number in there, then if I find him, I can text you to say."

"You're a good man, Tom," you gave him a small smile before adding your contact information onto his phone and handing it back. "Thank you."

"It's alright," he nodded and gave you a warm smile. "I'll text you if I find Eira, alright?"

---

Sure enough, an hour and a half later, your phone buzzed in your pocket, and a text from your saviour came through, telling you that he had found your beloved dog, Eira; you walked up to where he said he was, and found him sat with the dog, petting and playing with him.

"You found him!" You grinned, running up to them and tackling Tom in a hug. "Oh my God, how can I repay you, Tom?!"

"It's alright," he chuckled, hugging you back. "I know you can repay me, though."

"How?" You looked up at him. "Honestly, I'll do anything."

"Let me take you out," Tom said. "On a date, or even just up the pub, just say what you'd prefer."

"Tom, you found Eira," you chuckled, petting your loyal hound and kissing his soft ears. "If anything, I should be taking you out."

"Please, (Y/N), let me take you out," he gave you a small smirk. "Are you busy tonight?"

"No," you smirked back.

"Text me your address, and I'll come pick you up at eight," he said. "Alright?"

"Alright," you nodded. "Thank you, my saviour."
