You had been in a fairly low mood all day, and seeing the man you were in love with, Charles Xavier, flirt with another woman, only made it worse; he found you in the farthest corner of the mansion's grounds, a cigarette in one hand, glass of cider in the other. A fond chuckle left Charles' lips as he remembered how, when the two of you were younger, you used to drink cider that you had stolen from your parents' house; moving slowly, Charles stopped right beside you and tapped your shoulder.

"You look like you need a hug," he said simply, gripping your hand once you had finished your cigarette and pulling you up, but when you didn't even look at him, he grew concerned. "Darling?"

"Don't call me that, Charlie," you mumbled, downing your drink and turning away from him, you chucked the glass as far as you could and smiled a little when you saw the glass explode. "Please, don't call me something you call another woman."

"Another woman?" He furrowed his brows, not really caring about the shattered glass. "(Y/N), is there something you're forgetting to tell me?"

"What if I told you I've been in love with you since we were kids? What would you say?" Your eyes met his and you could see he was thinking carefully about his next choice of words.

"I would say I feel the same," Charles admitted, pulling you flush against him. "And no other woman gets called 'darling', other than you."
