"What's wrong?" Archie asked, sitting beside you and watching you closely, analysing your every move.

"I didn't get it," you sighed sadly, resting your head on his shoulder and closing your eyes. "Archie, I must be such a disappointment to you."

"You aren't, darling," he reassured, holding you tightly. "And you never will be, or God help me I shall be murdered by my own hand."

"Calm down, Romeo," you chuckled with a broken voice. "They stumble that run fast."

"Darling," he spoke softly, reassuringly. "There is nothing you can ever do to make me disappointed in you, alright? And besides, who cares if you didn't get it? I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities along the line for you, you just have to take them and keep your hopes up. Understand?"

"Yeah," you smiled, nuzzling against him slightly. "Thanks, Daddy."

"You're welcome."
