"Jesse," you whined, tugging on his sleeve. "Don't do this. I know what the dangers are, and I'm not about to lose you. Not now, not ever."
"Really?" He asked, trying his best not to get angry and use Genesis. "Darlin', when did you become so smart?"
"Since I stopped listening to you," you said honestly, looking him in the eyes, unafraid of everything. "Don't do it."
"You don't want me to do it?" He stared down at you, waiting for you to answer.
"No."
"Fine," he sighed. "I won't do it."
