Erik was in his own secluded area of the mansion's grounds, surrounded by metal, mostly scrap that Charles, you and Logan gave him, making sculptures, trinkets, anything and everything that came to mind; he was lost within himself as he often was when he went to his area, which meant that he didn't notice you had sat down on the patch of soft grass that had grown near the edge of the metal scraps.

"Hey, Erik," you spoke up at last, causing him to look at you and mentally curse himself for not realising you had been there. "This is new." You held up what could have been the most beautiful ring in the world; it wasn't silver or gold, but platinum, and with a small selection of gems on the top that really caught the eye, but not yours, oh no, your eyes had been drawn in by the engraving: "To my everything".

"Yes it is," he shrugged off, cursing himself yet again. He should have hid it better. "Do you like it?"

"That depends," you chuckled, still admiring the ring. "Who's it for?"

"You." He stated, sitting on the grass beside you and using his powers to make the ring float in front of you so that you could admire it easier.

"Me?" You chuckled, leaning your head on his shoulder and wrapping an arm around his waist; Erik smirked down at you and draped his arm over your shoulders.

"You," he confirmed, kissing the top of your head. "I want an answer this time, kitten, do you like it?"

"That was kind of hot," you smirked, referring to the pet name he called you and the dominance in his voice. "And yes, I do like it."

"Good," he grinned, a twitch of his hands causing the ring to slowly slip onto your ring finger. "It looks amazing on you, kitten."

"That's because you made it, daddy."
