"Hey, (Y/N)," Erik called, quickly catching up to you. "You know, my bedroom has the most interesting ceiling."

"Do you want my honest opinion on that pickup line?" You asked, trying your best not to chuckle when he furrowed his brows in shock that the line didn't work.

"Yes," he answered, almost hesitant.

"Because it's shit," you deadpanned, licking your lips as you watched him react.

"It's not sh-"

"You should not ask for honesty if you are not prepared to hear it," you told him, patting his shoulder.

"It's because of what they said, isn't it?" Erik asked quietly, looking down at the floor. You rolled your eyes.

"No. I've heard the rumours. I just chose to not believe in them. But," you waited for him to look up. "I won't let you use cheesy pickup lines on me, Erik. Ask me properly."

"Alright," he caved with a little triumphant smirk. "Do you care to join me for dinner?"

"Yes, I would."
