Kuronosuiken looked at me with a grin, eyeing me with a weird look.
"What?"
"Nothing, I just didn't expect that the child you looks so adorable."
She pisses me off...
[note: Kuronosuiken refers to herself as 'ware' (我) and Raito as 'kisama' (貴様)]
"Firstly, I shall properly introduce myself," she sighed, and with a sudden serious tone, she spoke. "I am Kuronosuiken, the spirit of time and dark waters that resides in this blade."
"I'm Amagawa Raito, second child of Lord Amagawa Izanagi."
Skipping from there to the point of 'why'. Knowing the reason why she brought me back was important, or I was basically going to relive those years, seeing everyone die again.
She chuckled and stared me down in a rather scary manner, with an answer that was clear.
"To help you uncover the reason of the war and the way to end the war. You remember everything from your past life, and that shall aid you. Yet that is still not enough."
"Meaning?"
"You'll die. Everyone will die, again. Unless you use me. Bear my curse and allow yourself to be my user. I shall grant you strength. My curse forces out your mana once your draw me from my sheathe; moreover, I will turn back time each time you are supposed to die. Are you willing to bear such a curse and abandon your humanity, to end this war?"
She was crazy. Curse? Retrying... it might as well be both a blessing and a curse. I wanted to do anything to stop this bloody war, so this, was my solution. But upon further explanation, I learned that each time she uses a 'reset', she uses up one month of my life. In other words, it wasn't an unlimited thing.
"Okay, now that you know about this, I can speak normally again. Speaking of which, boy, how well versed are you with this war?"
Asking that question to me of all people, she must've really been crazy. I knew little about it. I fought it for years, but never got to understand why it happened. The reason was never known, I just fought and killed those I had to.
"By the way, you might wanna step out of the scroll, Amayasha's looking for you."
"Why?"
"Well, you're not allowed into the armoury. Not yet, at least. But you'll be fine, just make sure you're holding onto me when she sees you. Why? You'll see, boy," she grinned. "Now hop to it," she pushed me.
Re-emerging in the armoury, before me stood two big guys and between them was a familiar figure. Amayasha Reikami, the leader of the Guild and the spirit of the day and night... and she looked pissed. Which in hindsight was really bad.
"Amayasha...sama?"
"He sees you? Master Reikami... didn't you suppress your presence?"
"I did, now be quiet. And why are you here, I suppose? Your father wouldn't be too happy to hear you running around in the guild armory like this."
[note: Amayasha uses the term 'yo' (余), an archaic term to refer to oneself.]
"Um... I'm sorry?"
She sighs. "I suppose, considering you are a child, I can let this- What are you holding.."
"Master Reikami... he's holding the blade."
"And without losing his mind at that."
"I am aware of that. Leave us, I believe I need to speak with the child alone."
