Seth, Larry and the rest eventually got to the royal chambers. Surprised they faced little resistance. Even more so when they saw us.

Nexus and Wallace were both tied and on the ground. My part was over.

"Shit, you really managed it?" Larry laughed. "Damn, you are amazing."

"Nice work kid. Heck, I'm not even surprised anymore."

"He's all yours. Do what you want with them, I'm good."

The fight was over. The revolution worked. And in short, my work in Reverie was more or less done. And I've only died like what, 30 times? I've lost count really.

Nexus and Wallace were taken away, and the royal guard followed suit, weapons abandoned. There was no resistance.

It was hard to believe it ended. It went by easier than we expected, mainly because of the help Mary and Claire tearing down the main enemy force... Hard to imagine how much harder it would've have been if they were our enemies.

"Master?" Alice tugged on my sleeve. "Is Master alright...?"

"Yeah. I'm fine. Just a little tired."

"Does Master need some rest?"

"It's alright, don't worry."

"Alice can-"

"Hey kid, mind if I talk with you a little?" Larry came up to me.

"Yeah, sure. What's up?"

"The war's over. And we couldn't really have done it without you. You've helped a lot."

"I haven't really..."

"Ahh cut that. You brought us valuable info, got two of the strongest Puppets known in Reverie, and you've done more than enough in this battle. But, I want to make one last request."

"Um... what is it?"

"Come on."

I was brought to the roof after some walking, where I could actually hear Ruira's singing.

Seth was holding a gun of sorts. I was almost certain this was going to be some late betrayal bullshit until he handed it to me.

"It's a flare gun, fire it into the air. Everyone will know we won," he patted my shoulder. "You can have the honours, kid."

I was this close to freaking out.

If they were planning something, don't you think I would've told you?

Oh right.

I pointed it into the air, and pulled the trigger. A bright red flare shot upwards, leaving a ploom of smoke.

There was a cheer coming from afar, everyone from the revolution was cheering. And Ruira's singing changed into cheering too.

"You did great, kid," he nudged me. "We really owe ya one."

"You sure you don't want everyone to know your name?" Larry asked, wiping some blood and dirt off his face.

"I'm good. I didn't do this for fame or wealth. Besides, folk here would still be suspicious of some Tendoen being a hero here."

"Guess you're right...."

"Can I ask for one thing though?"

"Hah, you better," he laughed.

"After all this is done, I'm likely heading back to Tendo. But this war between the countries is still going on. And Tendo is likely the first target Sylphia will strike."
