I wasn't kidding. Getting the revolution to succeed really was the first step. The way it is now, there was no way I could get any help from the government. Not unless we put up a new one.

The plan was, in essence, to make sure the revolution succeeded, and get the new Reverien government to get on peaceful terms with Tendo. This would be the best way to avoid a fight with Sylphie. The less casualties, the better.

If the plan succeeds, I could safely start working on Sylphie without having to worry about Reverie coming back to bit my arse.

The only question was how well we could get the revolution ready. We had most of what we needed. Help from Mary and Claire, once two of our biggest enemies now our allies.

They were both one man armies, so anything Nexus had in store for us weren't going to be an issue. But we still had to make sure everyone in the revolution was armed and ready for battle.

It has only been a few months since I have been here, and the revolution has already advanced much further than I expected. No doubt about it, it was completely thanks to Kuro. Without her help, this battle would've taken at least a couple of years.

Granted, I've already lost more than a year of my life, but it was price I was more than willing to pay.

Mary and Kuro both listened to my plans, and reluctantly agreed to it. It was no doubt a suicide mission. For one, I had no way of leaving Arcadia after arriving, and resetting time wouldn't work against a god, if my experience with Mary told me anything.

In other words, I could do everything I could to reach the darn artifact. But once I do, there would be no turning back. There's no telling what sort of price I had to pay for using it, if I even could.

I had to use the artifact. Either to restore the world or remove the knowledge of its existence for good. No one could ever learn of this. This information was not something I could just tell anyone. Not even my Puppets can know of this.

I could only trust Kuro, Mary and Amayasha with this... no one else.

"So what now, Master?"

"Get some rest. I'll have to discuss things with Seth and Larry regarding the final battle. If things turn out well, we can return to Tendo for a while to work out everything else. For now... I just need to make sure the revolution succeeds."

"How will you convince the new government, whoever it is, to ally with Tendo? Are you sure there will be no risks?"

"I'm not sure. That's what I plan to ask about tomorrow morning," I sat down, rubbing my head.

"Master... you're tired. You should get some sleep."

"Y-Yeah... I've been pretty tired of late. I'll go sleep for now..."

I was tired. Not sure if it was fatigue or whatever, but I'm guessing it something to do with running everywhere recently. Getting Mary on our side, finding Ruira, getting Claire, destroying the church.... It was tiring...

I wasn't sure when I fell asleep, but I definitely slept through the night and morning without noticing. When I finally woke, I was greeted by the sunlight, shining brightly through the window.

"Right... I'm living above ground now..."

"Good morning, Master. Slept well?"

"Oh, Iona. Morning. Where're the others?"

"Alice and Ruira went out to get some groceries. Fiore and Citra are in their room with Scarlet, Claire seems to be training in her room, and Mary... I don't recall seeing her the whole morning."

"She's probably in her pocket dimension. I'm going to go look for Seth and Larry, can you go tell Claire to look after the house?"

"Of course," she nodded. "You're busy as always, aren't you?" she giggled.

"Sorry I can't stay and chat will everyone all the time."

"It's alright. You have your matters to take care of. This war will end, right?"

"If I can work out a way, it should end without too many sacrifices."

"Then I shall go tell Claire. But... are you sure you don't want to eat anything?"

"I'll pick up some bread on my way over, don't worry."

"I see, have a safe trip then. I'll prepare something nice for lunch."

"That'll be nice."
---
Seth and Larry were rather glad to meet me. They seemed to want to discuss a few things with me too. The final fight was close, and they likely wanted my help.

I've heard that a train carrying ammunition and weaponry was raided, and there was a sudden increase in those items in our base. Needless to say, it was the handiwork of some guys here. And apparently lead by Archer and his gang.

Now, we had the things and allied we needed. A decent amount of arms and ammunition, enough people to fight, and the power of Mary and Claire.

This was my part to play. I had plenty of support for the revolution. Ruira's singing could buff everyone on our side. Mary could provide magical support from a strategic location, and Claire could lead the main flank. What we needed, were a few speakers and proper location.

Tinker could create the speakers we needed. It was basically like a giant radio, or something. I didn't understand this machinery logic, so yeah.

I had also discussed a few things with my friends. Iona was going to sit out for this battle and stay with Citra, just in case anything happened. Fiore was going to help out with a flank from the side. Scarlet on a third flank.

Alice and Claire going on the main flank, which meant I had to help out, but from the roofs. I wasn't going to be fighting down below, and I had to help with any gunners from the roofs. At the same time, I had to provide the mana for everyone fighting.

Which meant enough for Alice, Claire, Fiore, Mary and Ruira to all use their powers at full swing, all at once. This also meant that any other Puppet in the area could also draw from the mana I was releasing. Not sure how well I was going to fare, but I had to do it anyway.

Seth and Larry were discussing the plans with me, asking me about the roofs and everything. After some time, we decided on having a few others on the roof as well, to make it easier on me. Larry was going to lead the main flank, while Seth helped with a side flank. He had also planned for Archer to help with the third flank.

Flanking the enemy from three sides was the plan, and we knew the layout of the city already. Folk here have studied the maps of Machina, and have mostly learned the roads and roofs. But our main advantage came from the sewers. The folk could just exit out from different points, creating crossfires.

I was to join Seth and Larry upon reaching the palace, getting Alice, Claire and Mary all inside and making our way to into the royal chambers for the coup d'etat.

All this was good on paper, but we couldn't know for sure.

All we had to do was to get the final preparations done, and we were going to go for battle. The time is nearing for a battle. And I was ready for one.
