Larry and Seth came over to my place, and were talking about the new government. There were plans about having Larry be the new ruler of Reverie. But it was going to be more of a democracy, with all the seats of power decided by the people.

They still weren't too sure about how things would turn out, but they told me they didn't need my help this time, however. They figured this should be handled amongst themselves, since they already had me helping them for a lot.

The reason they were here this time was mainly to thank me. The election wasn't going to occur until everything settles, so Reverie currently didn't have a government. Larry was going to run his presidency soon, that much was official at least.

There were some new laws they wanted to implement too. Mainly some laws regarding Puppets and child labour apparently. No more discrimination against them, no tracking lanterns, all that bull. It was good.

All in all, there wasn't much left for me to worry about. I just had to relax a little till things settled.

And that was exactly what I did. Considering I did promise Hina I'd buy her something on my trip home, this was a good time to do so.

Alice and Mary accompanied me as we went through the shops, looking for something nice. Hina liked things that glowed, so.... some mana crystals would be nice. Besides, Kuro knew how to carve stones, mainly due to her endless boredom. So it wouldn't be hard for her to carve some of the stones into a magatama. (note: curved, comma shaped beads with a hole in the 'head' generally made of stones and gems)

Then again, maybe giving it to her as is would be nicer. Guess I could buy two large ones and have Kuro fiddle with one, then give both to Hina.

So the first shop we visited was a crystal shop. In which, upon entering, plenty of gems immediately dulled. Well, at least I found some.

"Ladies. Mind stepping away from those? You're dimming the glow," the shopkeeper walked up to us. "You sir, I assume you're in charge of them?"

"Um... yes?"

"Good, how may I help you?"

"I'm looking for some large crystals. One I can carve and another that can be a pendant."

"I think I should have what you want, just need to get these far enough away from your friends."

"I'm sorry," Mary stepped back." Your shop is doing pretty well."

"Thank you, miss.... Mary was it?"

"Yes, I'm... surprised you know me?"

"Many do. Also of your recent actions that helped bring down Nexus. And you must be that child called Alice."

"You know Alice too?"

"Well, news of you tearing down a building did spread fast. Ah, here."

He handed me two crystals, both smooth and clear.

"They're clear?"

"Well, it depends on who holds it. I'm no Mechanic, so it doesn't react to me. Have a go at it," he smiled.

I held one in my hands, and it glowed dark grey.

"Interesting. You have a Dark mana nature."

"Alice wants to try!"

She took the other stone, and it just remained clear. No change whatsoever.

"Looks like you don't have one," Mary looked at the stone curiously. She proceeded to touch it, and it alternated between red, blue, brown, green, white and black. "What's happening...?"
